i am around 15 full retail games im pretty sure im going to buy. so many others i plan on playing through also.
Deus Ex is my prediction for personal GOTY. i can't wait to play this one.
what research should i do? should i go online or grab a magazine and read other peoples thoughts on the game? maybe if i do read enough sources i could form an opinion on whether or not the game is worth a play through. too bad there isn't anything out there where people share their opinion on a finished game. i guess its a good thing i can tell how good the story telling, character development, game mechanics, controls sound design, etc by looking at a few pictures and trailers released ...
i played UT3 on the PS3, and the game allow kb/m vs DS. i played with both, and while kb/m was better, i had no problembeing competitive with the DS.
same here. i was going to pick Portal 2 up on Steam, but now i might as well get it for my PS3 if i also get the PC version. this makes me happy :)

the only reasons to hate snipers is because you don't know the maps layout. once you have an understanding of all the good sniping points, you become more cautious in those areas.

i see, they added Nov and Dec. 360 had a huge November this year with 1.37. Sony didn't get as big of a boost that all other consoles got. both Nintendo and MS received a million more in sales compared to Sony only add 300k. December was much closer with 1.86 for 360 and 1.21 for the PS3.

i would say less than $10, but i think that is only counting PS3/360 retail games.
well my break down was close enough. was meet as more of a broad look, because it is obvious different from game to game.

$10 goes to developers
$10 for platform royalties
$15 goes tho the retail store
$5-10 goes to marketing
the last $15-20 goes to the publisher.
of course this isn't true for every game. the more money made from larger sales will increase the publishers take, and lower the developers, even though they may be making the same amount, but then they also will get bonuses as well.
