Homefront wasn't bad because it lacked innovation, but because it wasn't well polished.
every game doesn't need a whole new way to play to be fun. it just needs to do it well. nothing innovative about KZ3, but i had fun with it.
your analogy is off, but your point is taken. as long as people are willing to buy and sell the games, then they will continue to buy and sell them at that price.
i don't know how many times i've been in a Gamestop and heard someone say, "that's all you'll give me? i guess that's fine." i think the customers just need to learn of their other options, and start to use those options. then Gamestop would be forced to change how they do business.
with Amazon i got KZ2 for $59 plus a $20 bonus cash. then after a couple weeks i felt like the mp wasn't for me, so i looked up what they would give me for trade-in. it ended up $43. traded KZ2 and GT5, and only paid $27 for SOCOM 4 and Portal 2. i think i made off pretty well.
there are also a bunch of sites that allow people to trade games with one another. one just put what you want to trade and what you want to trade for. the only problem i've found is people not ...
whether true or not, im just sick of hearing this phrase.
if after 2 different play through attempts you don't have a handle on the game mechanics, there is a problem with the games mechanics, and deserves the negative reviews it had received.
depends what one decides what failing is. i could see the 3ds not selling as well as the older ds models, but i doubt it won't sell at all.
i could see it turning into a Wii thing. one kid at school gets it to show off to friends. the friends go back and tell parents how awesome it is, and b-day and x-mas presents galore.
its still an effort that a very few would actually appreciate.
same here. though i wouldn't be too mad because i plan to give the PS3 version to my cousin while i use the Steam version to play.
my first play through on most games in Orange Box was on the PS3, and the only thing broken was TF2. sure there where a few bits of slow down in HL2 and its episodes, but i found it very playable for 97% of it.
maybe or maybe not, but as of now i'm not sold, and an extra $100 is a lot as of me for some hear say.
was thinking about it, but i would bet it would just end up as clutter. need more Move specific games, like Sorcerer, before i give Move a real chance. doubt it will happen though. even most of Nintendos games don't really use motion controls to the fullest.
most of the time i would agree with you imvix. you could spend forever waiting for the next great thing, but this time i think holding off would be worth it. at the very least for current parts to get a price drop.
different market makes comparison pointless.
disagree. it is SOCOM, just an updated version, for better or worse.
i agree they need to pull back the camera, but i wouldn't say its horrendous. the only time im unable to see is in the Assault and Battery map. the foliage tend to block my view a lot.
the winning teams do use strategy. when i play it seems i'm either on a good team or a very bad one. less and less does it seem to be 2 competitive teams. not sure why.
the good teams coordinate their attacks, and tend to be vocal about the other teams movements. bad teams seem to be filled with a bunch of player's not knowing what they are doing. i'm guess its a lot of PS+ players just starting to play.
i never played FTB1 so i have no clue what he was saying, but i agree with keeping auto aim out.
team killing is annoying, but most of the time when i see it happen (or it happens to me), it seems to be an accident.
people should also say why they want to kick someone. if i see a vote to kick and don't know why, i don't know who the jerk is.
sorry christ but i strongly disagree. sure some things from MAG have made its way over because the game shares the same engine and are both developed by Zipper, but it plays nothing like MAG.
i'm still a big MAG fan. i play a few nights every week, and SOCOM doesn't play anything like MAG. if it did i wouldn't have a low k/d ratio of 1.04 in SOCOM 4 beta. in MAG i was almost up to 2.0 (i think it was 1.8*) until i started to play around with a bunch of other load...
Amazon is pretty easy. go through Amazon and then print out the shipping slip for ups. go to UPS store and ship it. only had to pay for the box to ship the games in.
i have heard people having problems like you've mentioned, but i think a few of them have guarantee if you sign up for a pay service. it's just another option if people trade a lot of games away.
