Dragon Age 2: i wasn't a big fan of 1, so no way this could disappoint me.
Silent Hill 8: does anyone really have that high of hopes for this? i would love the series to return to greatness, but i don't really expect it to.
Deus Ex 3: i am pumped for this game, so yes it could disappoint. with my high hopes its almost guarantied to fall short some where.
Metal Gear Solid Rising: i'm taking a wait and see approach to this game. <...
i think Cracked did one a year or so back as well.

still could be due to her Live addiction, but i have to admit thats pretty stupid.
im with acedoh. if you look at more than just the final score, you can learn a lot about a game you're unsure about. especially if you read a bunch of different reviews. it makes it easy to see if the things that take points off the score are something that has bothered you in the past, or are the good parts the reviewers describe can help you over look the weaknesses of the game.
DMC4 was crap compared to HS and Enslaved. at least the latter two had great story telling and character development. Bayonetta was great though.
thinking the same thing. most of the fans of DMC enjoy the series because of the gameplay,(and apparently white hair) and gameplay is where Ninja Theory falls short. i enjoyed both HS and Enslaved, but both had average at best gameplay.
to start, all reviews are opinion pieces. plus, you have to love The Spoony One. even if you don't always agree with him, he still is very entertaining. you know you laughed when he came out dressed as Titus, and really enjoyed when he was being stabbed.
is it wrong that i completely agree with dasteu, but still enjoy X?
i don't think Abbe is as much of a 360 fangirl as she is a 360 and Live addict. though i agree that Adam is the only reason i go to G4. that and E3 coverage.
@Holy
i haven't played Mafia 2, so i can't speak directly about that review. i do think a well done world, story, and charaters can make a game with average gameplay into a good game. for me Enslaved is a good example of this.
i see some of your points, but not so much with your L.A. Noir point. i think Heavy Rain showed that their are gamers out there willing to support different type of games and new IPs.
i never got it either. even if its well done, it doesn't seem that much different than free browser games that i've been playing for years.
i would say PC then at least one of the handhelds.
i guess people expect you to have more time and money. lets not forget the great freeware and browser games that come along each year on the PC(even Mac and Linux).
"so much for the need of a joystick lol." if the joystick is not needed, then its easy to see Zir0 would rather(at least as willing to use),"lean foward/backwards to walk/run, and use your arms to control the camera..."
weak sauce.
i wouldn't call Portal a FPS. its a puzzle game in the first person perspective.
so now enjoying a game makes people fanboys? i think its about time to retire the word. fanboy is used so often it has obviously lost all meaning.
i agree with you, but i wouldn't call the game repetitive. i thought it did a pretty good job of slowly bring in new enemy types, and changing up each level layout to stay fresh.
also there are a few areas that had a bit of a challenge. at least if your first play through is on hard. of course most of the challenge was more from the poor game mechanics, but lets keep that on the down low.
yes the frame rate drops where annoying on the PS3 version, but they rarely accord during important game play moments.
or they could just disagree with your choices. not a big deal for these comments. i usually ignore most peoples post, unless they have my answer, and then i will click "agree".
