Based on the screwed manufacturing process they did not meet the specs they were aiming for, they never announced these specs, and they never promised anything.
The original gtx 260 has a crap load of shaders disabled, ( like 48??) and the re-release the 216sp gtx 260 still had like 30 shaders disabled, it has also happened historically with many...

don't waste your money, 1156 and 1366 are dead sockets.
Next year the sandy bridge intel CPU's are coming out and they will be on 1155 and another higher socket ( aka you will have to buy yet another motherboard in a few years for your next upgrade )
Same with AMD, the 6 core PII cpu's will support the AM3 motherboards, but they are equivalent to a mid range i7 BUT next year AM3 will be a dead socket too, because their bulldozer cpu's will be on a new socket.

I was planning to get a gtx480 now and an i7-970x later in the year, but it's not worth the money, i'll get an i5-750 or something similar and i'll get a 470 refresh for $300 as apposed to the 470 now costing $500aus :S
Pokemon still has it's good points, I know it is a clone year after year, but it still remains a hardcore RPG ( yes you heard me ) it's all about the stats and the elemental weaknesses etc, and there is a lot of strategy to building a good team etc.
Every pokemon gen I tell myself that I won't buy it, but I always do out of nostalgia, I sold my DSi as I didn't use it, but I want the next game to be DSi exclusive with a graphical boost, I'd still rather take higher res well design...
I actually really liked bioshock 2, I thought it was going to suck, but I had a great time, and it was a lot longer than I thought it would be, 15hrs is great for a shooter.

As I said 720p is a 10 year old resolution...so arguing over slight variances either side of that res is pointless.
I can turn crysis down to 800x600 if i wanted too....the resolution is not what makes the game look good. I honestly don't think anyone will notice the difference between alan wake's res and a 720p game, ...

The fact remains that there are more sub-HD games on PS3, and in any case, 720p is a 10 year old resolution ( well actually 10 years ago I was running 1280x1024....which is bigger than 720.....)
Just play the games and get over yourself.
God damn it, i'm sick of online shooters, give me some deathmatch, a bunch of game modes, bots, and LAN, how a shooter should be. I love playing Battlefront with the assult mode or whatever it's called, 250 players per side, all going nuts.
UT3 is great for crazy matches like that to, 32 player bot matches on the insane setting are hectic.
No doubt they'll be charging a subscription fee if this goes ahead....lucasarts are about as low as they come right now, who care...
