There are still cases where the 5870 beats the gtx480, that's just messes up. That said I would still buy a gtx480 because it wins most of the time and phyxs is delicious as are nvidias drivers and control panel.

in order to make it look better, it's more like they press 1 button to downscale the higher res textures for the console's, they can scale the draw distance etc with a simple slider in the editor, there is no way the PC version will be gimped, check my post above.
They are putting extra development into the pc version beyong just better textures and lighting etc, they are using...
Looks pretty good, I will miss the open world gameplay of the first 2 ( less so for warhead ), but warhead was the better game so it could be a blessing in disguise...as long as it's not a corridor shooter, lol

Halo is about as basic a game as they get, very limited weapons and a few enemies reskinned throughout the game, the MP is the only thing halo ever had going for it, crysis is a much better game.

That depends on what card you're using now.
For example, I have a gtx280, I might get a 25-50% improvement with a 470 for X amount of money, but a gtx480 I might get a 50-100% improvement for 1.5 x X
The performance of the 480 is not double that of the 470 but the gain is double so for me the extra money is worth it.
But if you are buying as brand new PC and don't have a good card then the 480 is not worth the money because as a tota...
