I'll wait until I play it to judge, people completely wrote off FEAR 2 ( yes without the acronym-isation, why no .'s? because I loathe them )and I loved it, i'll give this one a chance...
I don't know how much clearer I can make my point:
Game Mechanics:
DA game mechanics were broken, I don't know if you know what 'pen and paper' RPG means, but RPG's are played by the stats, action RPG's less so, but DA was a completely broken game in that it made no sense to even choose to use skills at all.
Imagine if in The Witcher; there was so many blatant flaws that it was pointless to even put points into any sw...
Extreme G on N64, they were some awesome tunes, fitted the wasted land sort of game theme, nothing like some nihilistic techno at 400kph
Same here, The Witcher is the only real medieval RPG I have played and it was my benchmark for Dragon Age...which was an empty shell of an RPG...
The best parts of Dragon AGe were outdone by The Witcher.
The Dialogue in The Witcher was way better, the characters all had a back story and you could see them in their role's, and see them elaborate on it throughout the game, instead of just a dot point of dialogue like in DA aka "Allistair is heir to the...
I chose Shani over Triss, when you hear her conspiring at her mirror at the start it made me not trust her + when you choose her she basically tries to make Geralt whipped the second her chooser her, and I ain't goin' out like that.
I loves me some pokemon, I don't care who thinks it's cool or not, it's addictive as hell, I sold my Dsi, but I just may have to buy a DSI-XL for this
GTX480, runs crysis warhead on high ( the second highest setting ) at 60 frames. That's at 1920x1200
@dirthurts
...and besides...since when is future-proofing a game a bad thing.
I would hate for all games to be maxed in their year of release, I wouldn't even want to go back and play all my old games because they would look terrible.
Some people consider running a new game with all settings maxed with 16af and 4aa @1...
You clearly haven't played crysis, it has more epic moments than any other game, the gameplay itself is the same, but i'm not going to explain a game to you, stay ignorant, it suits you.
UC2...scale? haha, linear as hell and more aliasing than any game i've ever seen.
GOW3 @ 720p @30frames, yeah...nothing on PC looks anywhere near as good /s
P.S Farcry 2 on PC looks better than every console game :D
There is no such thing as good DRM, steam is simply a lesser evil.
Are you telling me that having games forcebly tied to steam is better than having the ability to play and install games without ever having to connect to the internet? Of course it isn't. Steam is good, but it still has it's flaws.
Whether or not you agree with this....there are kids on this site ( the majority of members ) so I don't think it's really appropriate to advocate excessive drinking on here. The article should be removed.
I bought a game called 'Worldshift' today because it looked dawn of war 2-ish...i should have spend the 12.50 on this, that game is uninstalled and will be in the bin shortly...
DOW2 was a great game
Imagine mass effect without the sci fi...
aka the main thing ME has going for it...
yeah it doesn't look pretty
From 6 months ago all the game preview write ups had completely disregarded it as garbage, so when it was released I wasn't expecting much
I hate steam, games are overpriced, new games often costing mroe than games at retail, ( lol ), and steam updates frequently break offline mode.
Guellermo del Toro director of Pans Labyrinth and Hellboy
Sometimes I think I would have more games if I had less money, I bought:
AVP, supcom2, mass effect 2, bioshock 2;
for full price just this year, and saw them all today for half price :o
then I saw a bunch of older games for like 1/5 of new price....I wish I had the patience to wait
haha oops
GTAIV is the worst game I have bought in 10 years, I LOATHED that game, after San Andreas it was a massive letdown.
I played S.A on PS2 and then I played GTAIV on PC, and even so, the graphics were a let down, what does that tell you.
No RPG elements, weaker character models and animations, weak ass driving ( spin out taking corners at 20KPH...
This shouldn't be news on PC, especially seeing as 3d ready means absolutely nothing. All it means is that instead of ticking the "Steroscopic 3D" option in NV control panel you tick it in the in game menu...
Games don't need official support, ahh the beauty of an open platform.
That said, I don't care for 3D at all, I'll be finally getting my gtx480 in July and I'd rather spend that extra horsepower on extra frame rates at I.Q r...
