Is Epic using UE3 for this?
I don't know why everyone disses it, it is an untapped beast, UT3 is the most impressive UE3 game on PC and there are many games using the engine which look no-where near as good, it all comes down to other devs not utisilsing it properly, but epic can squeeze the life out of it, I hope gears 3 comes to PC, but I doubt it will...
Can't wait for UE4 as well
Wow, so that's what aliasing looks like
Don't know how to report articles, but alan wake is not on PC... wrong tabs
Here Here!! ( or is it Hear Hear??? ), anyway, the sooner it passes the better for everyone.
But here, like many other places, ignorant parents use the backwards logic of a game being responsible for a crime...and not the children who have been raised by irresponsible parents.

Dead Space 1 did look amazing though on PC..even with edge AA only there wasn't a jagged edge to be seen. It also ran incredibly well for it's visuals, so if i...
Just wait, bulletstorm will come with horrific DRM + activation limit + GFWL as a mandatory install, then it will be pirated, and they'll blame everyone but themselves.
UT3 will be my last EPIC game, thanks for the bots douchebags, i'll be playing it long after your company is dead and gone
I agree that the crysis 1 first pre-rendered scene was blurry, but screen tear is an easy fix, v-sync it.
Even that pre-rendered footage looks half as good as the pre-renders in the first game... me thinks they ran into a storage issue on one of the console's *wink wink*
For anyone that played ME2 on PC...the pre-rendered footage looked worse than the in game settings on the lowest possible, same thing.
...yeah crysis 2 is not going to be gimped at all...
I don't know how people can enjoy gaming with screen borders cutting up the image, i'd rather get a huge TV or a curved monitor
I don't care if it looks identical to warhead, I don't want to HAVE to upgrade right now.
It's already going to be linear, aka draw distance of 1x 10th of the first game, so that right there says it should perform about twice as good.
I expect on console's it will look like crysis on medium, with maybe 1 or 2 effects on high ( out of about 12 settings ), and no settings on very high @720p
lack of AA should not come into the d...
The PC version damn well better be superior, whoever wrote this article must be talkign some smack, because there is no way in hell it will look the same.

Does this game have any solo player skirmish elements ?
I get that it is primarily online based, but if there is progressive levelling elements offline, then it is a buy for me
"P.E in full effect"
we'll leave it to the courts to decide whether it is legally without merit, but morally, there is no doubt in the eyes of the game consumers who is at fault here, now if only those 12 year olds wouldn't stop buying the 6 monthly C.O.D titles they might actually get the message.
Unfortunately common sense never prevails, there is no comradery in gaming.

So you think a grown man, one who refers to himself as a professional journalist was justified in posting a threat in response to a 12 year old on the internet saying that they want to hit him...is justified?
Right. Kids table for you boyo, you can pull up a seat next between HHG and David Jaffe.
Gaming is dead, let us dance on the ashes of our favourite past time.

You realise that 99% of the games on steam are DX based aka they will not run on linux regardless of steam
That's a lovely theory.....except that sound is not processed by the GPU....which is what is responsible for 3D rendering...so yes the frame rate is halved. 2x image processing = 2 x GPU ram usage + 2 times bandwidth requirement, so the frames are halved, it's like they made it simple for ya :D

yeah it's pretty crazy, i didn't realise i'd bought so many until I started thinking about all the games....that is over a long period though, i'm 24 now, my first star wars game was like...15 years ago
lol, you idiot, I know 15frames isn't playable, that's my point:
Example, UC2 runs at 30 frames, to make it 3d the frame rate is halved aka 15 frames, BUT if you have a 120hz tv the frame rate is doubled so you get 30 frames again, except that you don't really get 30 unique frames, aka frame rate duplication, which is to 60hz what 720p upscaled is to 1080p aka NOT THE SAME. You get 15 unique frames / second and each frame is displayed twice, which introduces input lag.
double post...
