Sure PS2 might be more profitable from a purely hardware standpoint but after that initial hardware sale its ability to generate income hits a wall.
PS3 is also a profitable piece of hardware and im sure the extra revenue generated from PS3 software sales, PSN downloads & blu-ray movies create a greater total stream of revenue that outweighs the difference between PS2 and PS3 hardware costs.

I am a diehard PS3 fan and i enjoyed Prototype a lot, I also enjoyed infamous too but i just liked Prototype better.
It was nowhere near as well polished as infamous but the powers and abilities were awesome and just struck a chord with me more than Cole who seemed a bit puny next to the mutated, tendril erupting, evil twat that was Alex.
