Excellent point. Simplistic games can use the 1080p resolution. 2 charactors on screen swing a racket is a good example of simplistic games. Not too much going on and we will see what the final frame rate will be. What many people don't understand is that its a gimmick. But i guarentee everyone if you...

Play the ps3 version of virtua tennis on 1080p on a 1080p television and then you play the 360's 1080i version developed by a different set of devs, on the same 1080p t...

You totally avoided the question. I figured you would. Did you even look at the list? If you look at the Top selling games in America you will see that its diverse. But if you look at the Top selling games in Japan...Its "ALL" Japanese Developed games..."PERIOD". Japanese Developers obviously make Japanese style games for Sony and Nintendo pretty exclusively. MS has a few games coming out this time Exclusively by Japanese Devs for the Japanese style game experience.....

What do you think about the Japanese's top games of "ALL TIME?" There all Japanese "Developed & Style" Games. Microsoft has some Japanese Devs on board but no true Japanese Style game. Well, besides Enchanted Arms...Its going to take time for an American Made Console to earn respect over in Japan. But it starts with more than "ONE" Japanese Game released to get it.

Where did you see it for 30 dollars? My relative at EB games told me it comes out at 60 dollars. Unless its much better than the previews suggest, thats just too much with Test Drive being 40 dollars. With all these games coming out, 60 dollars is starting to take its toll. Too much for a game in my opinion.

You won't find "ONE" american or European developed game. If you look at the list you will see that MS hasn't yet put out a True Japanese style game....So it may not be the consumers in Japan shunning the 360....it has been more like the Japanese Developers have been shunning the 360 in regards to True Japanese style games. But maybe with Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey things will change...Blue Dragon in a popular Japanese Magazine is the 3rd most wanted game in Japan. Now if that ...

I don't make the news. I just posted it. The date on the article was current. I actually believe that there will only be 7 to 13 launch titles. Its not too often good news comes out for the Ps3. I was just trying to be fair. Lots of Laughs.....

You didn't read the article obviously...Reading is Fundamental buddy. MS isn't targeting 1080p for games. Its just the point that its more than capable of pulling it off with HDR and AA enabled unlike the RSX. But neither the ps3 or the 360 will "likely" see games in 1080p unless its games like tetris. Thats why games as of now are targeting 720p and 1080i for the ps3 and 360 alike.

ATI did clarify that although Microsoft isn't targetting 1080p (1920 x 1080) as a resolution for games, their GPU would be able to handle the resolution with 4X AA enabled at no performance penalty.

If I have read it once, I have read it a thousand times, “The Xbox 360 is just ATI’s next generation (fill in favorite code name here) GPU.” The sim...

A recent interview with the developer in the Unofficial Playstation Magazine stated that the 22 GB "game" size was made up of localized content. In other words, instead of having an English version of the game, a French version, a Japanese version, and so on on separate discs, all of that localized content is simply being bundled on one disc. While that makes things a bit easier for the developer, the disc capacity isn't being used in any meaningful way to improve the game. And fran...

In terms of raw performance without antialiasing or anisotropic filtering, the cards actually perform quite similarly. Both cards will produce roughly the same frame rates in most games. Only in Quake 4 do we see the Radeon pull away by a significant amount.

The Radeon also scored two victories in Oblivion and 3DMark06, primarily because of the card's ability to render Shader Model 3.0 HDR and antialiasing at the same time (both of these victories would have been ties otherwise). ...

I typed it wrong, I meant there is a game that supports 50 players online on the xbox. But my point is...We have been playing games like that for a while now. PC with 64 players online and xbox with one game that supported 50 players online. My bad for the typo. To me its not about how many can play online but is it lag free, and fun. We will know soon enough.

He don't know. And he would be lying to you if he even attempted to. Both systems are powerful. Its really all about the "developers" and how they utilize the system they develope for. Both have there advantages and we could all assume many things about which system will have the more complex better games, 2nd gen 360 games or 1st gen ps3 games. But, we will all know once November comes. There are sure to be a ton of comparissions and reviews from repetable sites. But, really...

But every gameplay video I have seen thus far haven't "WOW'd" me. It just looks "GOOD". And Honestly it looks like "From Gameplay video's" a Half Life Rip off. But I will save "Final" judgement untill I play it my self. But it is the "only" launch title that even looks worth picking up..."in my opinion". But 40 player online doesn't impress me. I have been playing Computer games since 1979. So, that doesn't get me excited. An...

What are you talking about buddy? I havan't showed any hate toward Nintendo's Wii. some of my best memories of gaming has been through Nintendo. But since when was the GameCube Great? That was probably Nintendo's worst system yet. It had some Very Good games sprinkled in there but as a whole it was a dissappointment to me compared to their previous efforts. Now the Wii is cute. But they said themselves its the gamecube on steriods. The main focus is the controller. Which I believe wi...

I understand your excitement over the Wii controller. And I think its neat. But its not new tech buddy. Microsoft created a motion sensing controller many years ago and it was cool at first...but I agree with the people who say it the fun of the so called "new' concept in gaming will wear off quickly. But I do understand your excitement. You'll see what we are talking about a few months after the "Newness" wears off and you realize you are playing an enhanced Game Cube.

I totally agree. It looks good, but after playing the 360 for almost a year, its on par with average 360 games. And to its credit, it does look fun. I loved the wipeout series and it looks to be along the same lines. And Sony fans don't bash us. Its our opinion. I have a 1080p tv and when I play my 360 games they look "Stunning". I'm not bashing this game. I'm saying its on par with an average 360 game. Its a compliment. When PC enthusiast come see 360 games running on my ...

There are three critical performance aspects of a console:

The Xbox 360 CPU architecture has three times the general purpose processing power of the Cell.

The Xbox 360 GPU design is more flexible and it has more processing power than the PS3 GPU.

The memory system bandwidth in Xbox 360 exceeds the PS3's by five times.

The Xbox 360 processor was designed to give game developers the power that they actually need, in an easy to use form...

To be fair...here are blu ray movies at walmart....

http://www.walmart.com/...

What do you think of the PS3's Cell architecture? How much harder is it for developers to write asymmetric multiprocessing code that will run on the PPE and the SPE's? How difficult will it be to port code that is tuned for the Cell over to the 360 while maintaining good performance? Do you think Sony made the architecture complex deliberately to make porting that way harder, or were they just trying to get maximum performance out of their system?

I don't think the Cell is as w...
