DEI is a legit issue if it’s used in the wrong way. Hiring and promotions should be merit based. And only you can turn a comment which had nothing to do with PlayStation and you mentioned Sony again. I don’t even have a PS5. I do have a XSX. You are always commenting first and mostly with nonsense comments because you like a certain plastic box more than another and just can’t get over the fact the plastic box you like is always in last place

Keep celebrating this because now other publishers will pick and choose who they give the review codes to. They want to create a positive environment around launch because that’s when people are buying the game at full price
I have no horse in this race but this will start a new trend. Only big gaming publications will get review codes (BTW look up the parent company of IGN and how this one company owns other gaming publications)
DEI could have its benefits but the issue is the money a studio promotes someone based on DEI they want to use their new position to influence even more agenda driven games/content
Look at Disney and how their movies and TV shows have failed because the lead of their show are females whose whole talking points are we aren’t men. And than they tell people to don’t support it it’s not for you yet when that fails they say people are bigots for not supporting it. Like make u...
What are you serious? Kotaku Have some of the worst nut jobs who work for them. Maybe do some research and you will see how hard they are pushing their agenda and DEI (coming from a brown guy DEI shouldn’t be main factor in anything, it should be used as one of the points but not the main point on the basis of hiring)
As far as this game goes just wait for actual reviews from gamers. These sites are part agenda pushing corporations. They are more worried about social scores and DEI than fun games
When suits, meaning people who have never played games and only care about hedge fund returns, take over, the focus shifts entirely to spreadsheets and profits. They don’t care about making great games or quality products. Their goal is to create games where they can charge as much as possible through microtransactions. That’s why we’re in the situation we’re in today—companies like PlayStation remastering games that are less than 10 years old. This is also a side effect of the lack of compet...
This is a 2025 game. Konami said they learned from MGS HD Collection and they want to do better. I think this might be a summer 2025 title. Because early part of 2025 is stacked with releases
It was the same for Xbox too along with other brands. Don matrick left but his original plan has been implemented into Xbox already. These companies can change people but the original plan usually is being followed. But by letting go of don and Jim the negativity surrounding them is much less so it’s easier to implement
This use to be a normal thing until gamers thought it was cool not to own our games and now game developers get positive PR for simply saying their game data will be in the disk
Sorry that argument is so wrong when a multi trillion dollar corporation spent 100 billion to acquire not just developers but actual publishers. They renegotiated contract for Indian jones to keep the game off PS5 only to crawl back and actually will make a PS5 version
You are comparing timed exclusives to spending 100 billion on keeping the games away from other platform
Square enix is a bad example. Let’s not forget this is the same company that complained that time raider reboot selling 7.5 million didn’t meet their expectations. With games costs so high it doesn’t make sense to make any AAA game completely exclusive but and there is a HUGE BUT when it comes to Xbox you aren’t missing on many sales. Here is some actual fact people think it is cheap to port games (most AAA games cost in 7 figures just for a port) on Xbox people want every game on gamepass...
Next year is the 20th anniversary for the series and millions have never played the original games. I think we may receive HD collection containing all games
With the development costs skyrocketing these companies can’t justify one platform releases anymore. I don’t think we are far from days when Nintendo will put their games on PC. People forget how bad Nintendo had it before the success of switch. Wiiiu was a failure to say the least
GTA6 will be the 1st game to charge $99.99 MSRP for base edition IMO. Early access, multiple different editions and games not ready at launch is the new standard
These publishers keep pushing the limits to see where they will get the biggest blowback from gamers and so far they haven’t found that limit. By next generation games will cost $10 more and bigger games will cost more money. I am ok with flexible pricing but the issue is publishers will still charge base full ...
They actually have videos of big time YouTubers who make pc centric content trying to build a $699 pc with similar features and they couldn’t. So atleast at $699 gamers get actual improvements while at $599 they don’t
This is coming from someone who has a PC and Xbox series x and doesn’t plan on buying a pro or even a regular PS5 (I don’t dislike any console it’s just that I much rather play on PC with mods) I hope that’s the next step for consol...
Sony was transparent with fans, acknowledging that its first-party studios needed extra time, so many assumed 2024 would be light on content. What some overlooked is that Sony plans years ahead, meaning its strong second and third-party partnerships were set to deliver regardless. PlayStation is central to Sony’s business strategy, unlike Xbox’s role for Microsoft. In what’s considered a "light" year, PlayStation brings Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Astro Bot, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Ste...
Microsoft's approach now includes putting its games on as many platforms as possible, with PlayStation and PC emerging as major revenue streams. For Xbox, the focus has shifted towards Game Pass subscriptions, as full-price game sales aren’t as robust. This has led some publishers to skip Xbox releases, prompting Microsoft to reach out to see how they can encourage more support for the platform. Given this shift, it’s not far-fetched to think that collections like Halo, Gears of War, and ...
The concept of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) is intended to promote inclusivity, but it can sometimes lead to unintended consequences, particularly in the gaming industry. For instance, companies like Sweet Baby have reportedly given talks at events like GDC on how to influence companies to prioritize certain demands. This approach can be polarizing, and when some developers tell gamers, “This game isn’t for you, don’t buy it,” it creates a disconnect between the creators and their a...

sadly that's DLC for these games
