I hope they just let bend make days gone sequel and have BP remake a game just to regain their confidence
Thing is sony is now rethinking their strategy that means studios won't release a game for a long time now
Bend and blue point will need 3-5 years for their next release so basically this while generation absolutely nothing bedies 1 remake
I already said that a while ago. This game has a budget of over 2 billion. R* will not sell it for $79.99. This is a $99.99 for base edition and it will still sell and set records.
I know this maybe a unpopular opinion but if the value is there(50 hours plus for aqwskme single player story content) and it's only for GTA6 it will get the support but the issue is other companies will use it and that's where the slippery slope comes into play
In fiscal year 2024, which spanned from July 2023 to June 2024, Microsoft's gaming revenue totaled $15.47 billion, a decrease from $21.5 billion in the previous fiscal year. This decline was primarily due to a $350 million operating income loss associated with the Activision Blizzard acquisition.
As of February 2024, Xbox Game Pass had 34 million subscribers, reflecting an 18% increase from the previous year. Microsoft aims to reach 110 million subscribers by 2030

They are doing this to cash in as quickly as possible. Have a great selling game. You are right they should remake the 1st game than the Ezio trilogy into 1 game and trim the unwanted content
Xbox may not be what Playstation or Nintendo is but for anyone go think they will simply leave hardware market anytime soon is absurd. Do you know how much money they make from selling 3rd party software and GP/Xblive. Just because they don't make as much as playstation or Nintendo doesn't mean they don't make big profit
They will release the next Xbox in 2027 IMO and they will also do a handheld. We need to stop acting like Xbox brand isn't worth billions. ...
Their next game will be on PS6 so yes I agree DG2 could be a day one launch and get the benefit of having that tech and specs
Logic
That would be a hard sell. I think 399 would be the price most would be comfortable with. But you never know Nintendo doesn't sell hardware for loss unlike others. So maybe we will see 449 but IMO anything over $400 wouldn't be right for switch 2. 399 still has the number 3 in it and that makes a huge difference in consumers POV
Sony's decision to cancel two more live-service games, one from Bluepoint Games and another from Bend Studio—neither of which have significant experience in live-service development—has raised serious concerns among fans. Many of us had been eagerly awaiting announcements about these studios' projects, believing they were nearing completion after years of development.
Now, it appears several first-party studios are being forced to start over, highlighting what feels...
I have pc and Xbox and that's enough I play on PC
This isn't the PlayStation we grew up with. This Playstation is all about greed, they much rather make a live service game even if that means they will have failures as long as they have 1-2 successful projects
I am a Playstation fan but OK this site especially there are playstation fanboys who just worship the brand and defend every move regardless of how it affects us as gamers. We need to stop pretending like these brands care what we think. This is beyond frustrati...

5 years ago the idea of playstation games on Pc wouldn't be something anyone would have accepted. Times are changing and for some reason there are some who want permanent console exclusives and I think those will be less and less moving forward. Maybe I am wrong
They are smart actually. They can provide great value for GP subscribers while charging full price on other platforms. This site is so full of people who love a certain plastic box they just don't see how the industry is changing right in front of us. AAA development costs are in hundreds of millions and why cut off your potential consumer base in half
Sony did it with Pc and found great success
Horizon zero dawn was an awesome game but the sequel forbidden west didn't live up to the hype for me. But it's not such a big IP for it to be pushed every direction. It has actually turned people against the IP because of over exposure
If onoy Ted Price from insomniac was made head of world wide studios things could be different
So many of ex playstation executives have been gone and replaced with suits who don't understand playstation
derek
I understand your point of view, but I believe the landscape is changing in a way that will eventually lead Sony to put some of their games on Xbox. It's not something that will happen overnight, but as we've seen with their move to put games on PC, they’ve realized that there’s additional revenue to be gained without significant downsides.
The argument is quite simple: revenue equals profit. Sony saw substantial benefits from bringing their...
I have some serious questions about the priorities of these companies. Microsoft has already laid off over 20,000 employees in 2024, and now they’re cutting even more. Meanwhile, Phil Spencer, who’s been the head of Xbox for years, seems to be immune to any consequences. Despite overseeing a period where the company has delivered less than stellar results in terms of gaming performance, his position remains safe. Why hasn’t Spencer been held accountable for the lack of significant progress un...
As we look to the future, it’s clear that Xbox is positioning itself as a software-first company. They will still have their own hardware, paired with Game Pass, but the big shift is that their flagship titles like Halo, Forza, and Gears of War are rumored to be coming to other platforms this year. This is a smart move in my opinion. By selling their Xbox hardware while offering Game Pass as a service, Microsoft can focus on providing the best value for consumers without limiting the reach of...
Did you like atomic heart? I could never get into it for some weird reason
I don't think people will stick with GTA5. You really think $20 more is going to make people not want to buy this game? We can't think like it's $100 the mindset could be it costs $20 more than other games but it's GTA6 which people have waited for over a decade
I hope the price remains MSRP of $79.99.
