Really? I bought it through eShop a few hours after it was released, and I had no problems and the download was actually faster than the last games I bought.
Is he still alive?
What you said about lack of discounts, it's only about digital games on consoles, right?
I also buy everything digital. The only games I buy in disc are the ones that for some freaking reason are not released in digital form, like Beyond: Two Souls.
I wish they told us how much of that was digital sales.
And also more expensive. It's like saying "the GTX 780 is better than the GTX 770 and the GTX 760!". Well, some people don't want to spend that much money on the high-end version.
@maniacmayhem
It's actually a very good idea. I always preferred SEGA's consoles, but I never really thought about this idea of "if they won't make a version of this game to my console, I'll make a similar game to compete with them". Sometimes it worked great (Streets of Rage is so much better than Final Fight), sometimes not so much, but even when it didn't work that great, at least it was an alternative.
The only lag I noticed is when 3D is on during battles (since outside of them the 3D effect is automatically off). But 3D is so bad in this game that I just leave it off. A higher depth would've done wonders.
It's sad that the best Resident Evil game in years sold so poorly.
@nypifisel
Games aren't CPU heavy at all? Go play BF3 with 64 players and come back to tell us about the load on your CPU. Or any MMO, actually.
The problem is that a game isn't only about graphics. The processor also works like hell, and for that the GDDR5 isn't as good as DDR3. If GDDR5 really was better for everything, do you think high-end PCs wouldn't use it for everything, too?
I don't know what Sony was thinking when it decided to use only GDDR5, but I guess it's for the little "5" in the name, like going back to the old "bit wars" (32-bit, 64-bit...) where bigger numbers...
I hope to change my PC and buy a 4K monitor next year. One 3D Full HD monitor for games that work well in 3D, and a 4K for the ones which don't. Perfect setup.
As a foreigner, I really don't understand the big deal with this word. It may be offensive, but people act like it's the worst thing a person could say. Sometimes I feel like if someone said "I'm a nazi" he would suffer less backslash.
It still baffles me when people say that 5 is better than 6. But I wish 6 focused on Leon (and maybe Ada), because they try to maintain some balance between action and horror, like 4 did.
5 has that green tint ruining everything.
Really? I actually liked the 3DS version more. The controls felt better (and the spin dash not being crazy fast was a big plus) and the last boss was ten times better than the one in the console version. I just wish it was longer.
But I may be biased since I don't really like modern Sonic gameplay.
Unfortunately, the description of Proteus made me think that the writer of the article tried too hard to make it look good and I stopped believing the things he wrote about the other games.
I played Proteus. I read the reviews, the complaints, and the praises. I started playing it knowing that it wouldn't be a game in the traditional sense. But I found out that in this game, you walk. And you walk. And you walk. And nothing happens. And you keep walking. And than someone ...
I'm in the same situation as you. I bought a Philips TV with a motion interpolated mode, I tried it with Avatar just to see how it looked, and now if I turn it off, it feels like everything is a little choppy. DVDs are the ones that benefit the most for me, since the little artifacts are not as visible because of the lower resolution.
I wish that since nowadays everything is being shot in digital cameras, so film prices are not a factor in choosing a lower framerate, they...
Actually, they chose 24fps because it was cheaper (they had to use less film) than 30fps. It was the lowest they could achieve without sacrificing too much smoothness. So there was no such scientific study as "being more epic" in this decision, it was purely about money.
That's OK. I'm not in the least interested in GTA V and it doesn't make the game less popular. Your lack of interest won't affect Pokémon, either.
But for the 6 hours I've played Pokémon X until now, it truly feels like the best Pokémon ever.
