I wonder where these guys get this "you have to upgrade every year/every 2 years" from. I have my GTX 285 for more than 4 years, and I only plan to upgrade next year because of 4K gaming. If I wanted to keep less than Full HD resolution and 30 fps like consoles do, I could keep it until the end of the next generation.

If you know a game with FFXIV's class system, quest system, gathering and crafting system, and that's not an MMO, I'm all ears. Or even WoW's for that matter. Unfortunately, I never found any.

I do not mind the massive multiplayer stuff with random people. Doing BGs in WoW, of FATEs in FFXIV are very fun. But the "less massive multiplayer", making us team up with random people in situations that require good coordination (e.g. dungeons) is way more a...

@One_Eyed_Wizard
This is exactly the reason why I don't like playing with random people.

@Dno
What part of "I DON'T like partying with random people" you didn't understand? I'm not saying "the problem is looking for a party", I'm saying "I don't like playing with random people". I know it's super easy to get a party (if you have the patience to wait for Duty Finder to find you a party) and go to dungeon...

@Dno
What Snookies12 said. I DON'T like partying with random people. And duty finder does exactly that.

Since you mentioned WoW, it was perfect for me. The important stuff like mounts and banks and plot and whatnot could be unlocked if I kept playing by myself. When there were friends online I could do dungeons, BGs and whatnot, but they weren't necessary for progression. If there weren't any friends online, I could keep playing and advancing. It was like ...

It's a great MMORPG. Unfortunately, although I enjoy many MMORPG aspects like quests, progression, exploration, the worlds, and I love FFXIV gathering and crafting system, I really don't like partying with random people to go to dungeons. And as I don't have any friends who play FFXIV and some dungeons are mandatory to continue the plot and get important things like a bank and mounts, I lost interest pretty quickly.

It feels like developers just don't bother to compress or optimize enough. Remember when Capcom took Resident Evil 2 and its 2 disks, and they compressed it to a single N64 64MB cartridge?

"Killzone 3 was actually bigger than Shadow Fall. (...) Unconcerned by file size, Guerrilla had duplicated textures for each level to make the game stream from disc more quickly, and included high-quality videos several times over in different languages."
Since CDs bec...

That site is a humour site with fake stories... I think the person who posted it should've seen that before posting it here.

So PS4 will still cost R$4,000 ($1,800) in Brazil.

EDIT: In the bottom of the site they wrote "Não acredite em tudo que você lê por ai. Este é um site de humor que publica notícias que deveriam ser verdade, ou não."

I only buy physical copies when there isn't a digital version. Like Beyond: Two Souls. Sony has no excuse for not making it Day 1 Digital.

Even if the server goes down, you can still play all the games you already downloaded. Of course, you won't have online play, but in this case even with physical copies you won't be able to play online anyway.

Unless you're talking about the server going down forever. In this absolutely improbable case, yes, any game you didn't download will be lost. But the chances of your house getting robbed and all your game disks being stolen is way higher than servers of...

Disks may crack or be lost or be stolen, a friend may not return it, you may leave it somewhere hot and it may stop functioning. If your HDD fails or you lose it or it gets stolen you won't lose the games since they are tied to your account and you can redownload them.

Not every game will be 50GB+, and we don't really need to have all of our games installed at the same time. There are games which you always play for online modes and whatnot, and the ones that you have to keep ready to play with friends. And there are games that you're playing right now and after you finish it (or even before) you'll move on to another game.

So let's say you keep 6 or 7 "I need them always available" games, and 3 or 4 "I'm ...

If even Nintendo (that is supposed to be the worst of them when it's about online) is able to sell all games in digital form on Wii U, I don't know why Sony and Microsoft aren't able to do the same.

Before it was released, I said here "as much as I want it to succeed, it's obvious that it won't sell well". I got tons of disagrees, but apparently I was right.

I'll buy it someday... But not that soon. That are too many great games being released.

I got it from PS Plus, but I didn't play it yet. I don't really like these "non-games", I disliked Flower, so I'm not anxious to play it.

I'm waiting for this crowdfunding fad to go away. I confess that I fell for it twice or thrice, but all Kickstarter projects I've seen either never get finished, or the results are bad.

The bad sales of Resident Evil Revelations got me mad. People don't stop crying that they want a Resident Evil game more like the older ones, that 5 and 6 don't have any horror... And when Capcom releases what people wanted, everybody ignores it. At least I know I did my part by buying both the 3DS version and the PC version. It's sad that it will probably be the last one with some horror in it, since the effing "fans" only buy the action ones and then complain about the...

I want to play it, but with so many games to play this month, I'll wait for a couple of months.

@Enate
So you're saying that you play all the console games you have at the same time? Of course we won't have all of our games installed at the same time. Even with console games, you may have a library of 50 games, and you'll only be playing 2 or 3 at any given time.

The difference between having 50 console games and 50 PC games is that you certainly spent half or less to buy those PC games. And those 50 console games will not work on your new console, w...

I said "more powerful", not "powerful enough to play everything on Ultra with constant 60fps". Of course, I'll still have my Full HD monitor (and my 1680x1050 3D monitor for 3D Vision), so if I have to make too many visual sacrifices to keep the framerate, nothing stops me from going back to "only" Full HD.

But I saw benchmarks, and the Titan is able to keep a playable 30fps in most games in Ultra settings, so I'm guessing that the 880 (o...

That's the problem with console gamers. They announce the most powerful graphics card, that's made for true enthusiasts, that of course will have a high price tag, and console gamers say "I was right, PC gaming really is too expensive!". What they don't understand is that a mid-range graphics card is more than enough to surpass the power of their consoles.
