Every single Saint Seiya game I played was really, really bad. I didn't expect this game to break the trend.
spektical is right. 3D platformer is just so similar to 2D platformer!! The same can be said that Gran Turismo 6 is the same as Top Gear, and God of War is the same as Super Castlevania IV. Accelerate, make turns and don't hit other cars. Hit enemies with whip-like weapons, don't let them hit you and finish big bosses. You're absolutely right, I'll throw away my newer consoles and keep playing on SNES! /s
I dare to say it's even better than Mario Galaxy, and certainly much better than New Super Mario. And I only played it alone until now, I plan to invite 2 friends to play it on this weekend.
Yes, because consoles finally being able to run a 2 years old game at 1080p/60fps truly shows that PCs aren't the most powerful machines anymore, right?
@nirwanda
The part where he talked about the touchpad was like "and on top of that...". So the first part was clearly as if you couldn't use a controller on a PC. I use an Xbox 360 controller for almost every game on PC that's not first person or a strategy game.
@OCEANGROWNKUSH
Not necessarily. Just because a game runs at 60fps, it doesn't mean that it's the maximum it can achieve. Maybe it could be run at higher framerate, but it's capped at 60fps because that's what most displays can show. In fact, if a game was running at 60fps and it was using all the power it could, there would be terrible drops in framerate everytime something more demanding happened on screen.
That, and the fact that there are some opti...
Persona has really long dungeons. Without the sleep mode function that portables have, I don't think I'd enjoy the game as much as I did with P3P and P4 Golden.
I'll wait for the portable version.
Flower? Really? Does it have any differences from the PS3 version other than framerate and resolution?
So now instead of releasing remakes for consoles and portables, they're releasing them for smartphones? Why didn't they release 4 and The After Years with these graphics for PSP instead of the simple Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection? Oh, Square, each day I like you less and less...
To be fair, Secret of Evermore was really bad. It taught me that even the king of RPGs could make bad games. I also hated Super Mario RPG, what surprised me since I loved RPGs and had never played a bad Mario game before, so it shook my faith in 2 of my favorite game companies.
Linearity in FFX and FFXIII are really different. FFX gave us towns to stop fighting a little bit, it had side quests, it made it possible to go back to any place (specially in the international version, it was required to beat the Dark Aeons), you could make powerful characters if you took the time near the end of the game (necessary to beat the Dark Aeons).
FFXIII is dungeon after dungeon after dungeon, no towns, no sidequests, no anything else except for fighting. And the ...
FFXIII-2 was "less bad", but it's far from getting on the right track. It should've ended with FFXIII-2, as its ending where sh*t hits the fan and the world collapses is really good (if they didn't ruin it with Lightning DLC pointing out that the story would keep going). I can't remember any other game that ends with the end of the world, it would be an evolution in videogame storytelling (where every story needs to have a happy ending).
I love Persona 4 and rhythm games, but even for me this is pretty disappointing...
I would be so happy if I liked the first one. But as a didn't...
By your logic, no game (or movie, or actor etc) deserves to receive any awards (even though in this case it's not an award) because there will always be at least one person who doesn't agree with them. This game has been getting the highest reviews this month, so you may like the game or not, but this fact won't change.
I wonder when kids will learn that saying "I don't like this thing because it's for kids" makes them look even more like kids.
Silent Hill Collection
Metal Gear Collection
Final Fantasy X/X-2 Collection
Devil May Cry HD Collection
Ico And Shadow of Colossus Collection
But, yeah, a single "remaster" (that feels much more a remake than these other "HD Collections") on a Nintendo console is something to laugh about, right?
@listenkids
Are there many PS2 games that you didn't play until now and you really want to try? Then by all means, do buy a PS2. It would actually be the best decision.
But we're obviously talking about which console has the best games for people who keep up with the game industry, and by now played all the best games from previous generations.
Unfortunately, I'm in the "hate the game" team. Don't like "build everything yourself" games, neither "there's no real objective" games.
