The argument for "No consequential decision making" being a flaw doesn't make any sense. The reviewer was expecting it just because the game was released in episodes? I don't understand how one thing would imply the other.
And many people consider Raid mode to be the best reason to buy this game, so leaving it out of the review wasn't the best idea.
Anyway, I really dislike this trend of forcing coop on us, and that's the main reason...
They said they will release online mode on March 31.
I agree with almost everything the author wrote about FFVIII, except this part: "with the only bright spot being Seifer". His "romantic dream" was laughable, and going against everyone because of his wish of being a Sorceress Knight wasn't believable at all. Quistis was the only good character in the main cast, and Laguna was also interesting if we consider people from the supporting cast.
@WESKER2015
I've been playing Resident Evil since the beginning on PS1, and I also think that RE4 deserves to be on top of the list, maybe disputing that place with RE2. I played both of them more times than I can remember, specially RE4, having played it on GC, PS2, Wii and PC.
I agree with most of the list. I'm happy that the author wrote "Revelations was the Resident Evil 6 that fans were hoping for" because it's exactly how I feel.
But I do have to complain that in the RE2 part the author mentioned only Leon, considering that Claire is not only my favorite character, but she is also as important as Leon in that game.
It was good, but if you explored the world instead of only following the main quest, you would soon be overleveled and the challenge would be gone, since every area had a level cap on its enemies. It's the main reason why I stopped playing it. So many areas to go, but it wasn't challenging and fun anymore.
I think that people who shunned 3D and are now praising VR helmets as the next big thing are hypocrites.
I agree that it's a good game and I'm enjoying playing it, but I do wish that it was more like Revelations 1. With its running/jumping enemies and dodges, it added a bit more action than it should.
At least we didn't get any enemies with guns and machine guns. Those just ruined Resident Evil 5 and 6 (among many other factors, of course).
People just have the "I don't like when they change the character" syndrome. I don't remember a single time when a character had its design changed and there wasn't a mob shouting that they love the original design. Max Payne, Dante, Lara Croft, Sarah Kerrigan, Link, Sonic, Samus... Even Naruto got tons of complaints when he got older. They've all been there receiving backslash because of their change in design. And we just get used to them. It'll happen the same...
It's the same as saying "try playing your game discs if a burglar breaks into your house and steals your games", or "you break up with your girlfriend and she throws everything away", or "you lend your games to a friend and he doesn't return them". Both options have its risks. And I'd say that you have better chances of recovering your accounts and digital games than recovering stolen game discs.
"try playing your digital content...
I almost loved the mansion level. But to keep running in circles until Ruvik disappeared for three times was boring.
The day they make monsters give decent exp instead of making us hunt for those annoying metal slimes, is the day I'll go back to this franchise.
I do. When I have friends over we play offline multiplayer games on PC like Rayman, Sonic All Stars Racing, King of Fighters...
But either way, Resident Evil and multiplayer shouldn't mix. Online or offline. I tried playing RE5 and RE6 coop, and it sucked. Resident Evil is made to be played alone and I hate this coop trend.
I also liked it, but considering that I was expecting something at the same level of Heavy Rain, I was a little disappointed.
Yes, but each character had areas they couldn't go, leveling up didn't feel as rewarding because each chapter ended so quickly and we had to start playing with another character at level 1, none of them had time to get a great character development...
Yakuza 3 is the best one. I had high hopes for Yakuza 4, but it left me deeply disappointed. Splitting the game between 4 characters was not a really good idea.
Good to see Elite Beat Agents getting some love. One of the best rhythm games I ever played. Too bad it didn't sell well enough to warrant new sequels.
I finally turned my Vita on again after countless months, to play...
Resident Evil 2...
Because I got the urge to play it after playing Resident Evil Remaster. The worst thing is that to do that I didn't need a Vita, I could've done it on my old PSP.
I would add Fantasy Life and Rune factory 4 to that list. They're probably the games I played the most on my 3DS.
I've been making some games ( http://www.eivigames.com.br... ) and although they appear to be simple, there are always tons of unexpected difficulties that I encounter. It's certainly not as easy and always fun as I thought it would be when I was growing up, but it's truly satisfying when everything works and I can play a game that I made myself.
