It's about being the most expensive game on Steam.
I'll save links to these news with people saying how great this is and how Capcom is redeeming itself, and compare them to the news after the game's release with people saying how Capcom lied, and how they think it's absurd to grind for hundreds of hours to get a single character.
@Dir_en_grey
I didn't think people believed in Capcom's "promises" anymore. You know how the saying goes: "fool me once..."
It's been a long time since I last saw one of these "stop stating YOUR opinion as fact" in N4G. Every time someone talks about likes and dislikes, it's obvious that it's that person's opinions. Hoping for everybody to say "in my opinion" every time is just silly.
Heck, even if somebody said "Superman 64 is one of the worst games ever made", another person would probably show up saying "it's YOUR opinion, not a fact, becau...
You mean they should play the game where she admits that she doesn't feel any emotions anymore? The game that almost every review critized that she was more like a robot personality-wise than in the previous games?
Lightning Returns is my favorite game of the trilogy, but only because I gave up on expecting good plot and characters from any game in the FFXIII series. The battle system and quest system is better than the in previous games, but plot and character developmen...
This is the first "[some game] in Unreal Engine 4" video that actually makes sense.
I loved the idea and I really like the actress, but the actual game design is really lacking. You can't organize videos in the "user session" easily, you also can't clear it (but there's a button to "erase user session", leading us to think that it will clear the videos in the user session, while in reality it erases the whole save file and makes us start from the beginning), it's almost impossible to view all the clips without cheating, there isn't eve...
The truth is simple: Megaman Legends games just weren't very good, and because its fans are very vocal, we have the feeling that many people liked it (even Keiji Inafune thought so since he started this project), but this just isn't true. I don't want the kickstarter to fail, but if it does, I hope that MML fans finally stop asking for MML 3.
@RustedMan
I was criticizing the part where they say they want a Mario game with a realistic environment, and you "disagree" with me by saying "I'd hope that they strive for pixar like visuals"? So you actually agree with me.
My criticism was made towards the news author, where he clearly said that he expects the next Mario game to have a realistic environment. That's why I put that phrase taken from the article before my comment. My whole ...
"still it's fun seeing Mario exploring a realistic environment. Perhaps we can expect a similar experience when Mario appears on Nintendo's next system"
I really, really, hope it doesn't happen. I mean, congratulations for whoever put this demo together, but as a Mario game, the design just doesn't fit at all. I think it's sad that people still think that a game's graphics need to be realistic to be better.
I thought it was funny. People around here take things a little too seriously.
Or maybe they're taking it personally because the video is supposed to be a satire, but half the items in the list are used by them to bash on Nintendo games.
@alex101594
"Is it really so hard to take chances?"
I don't know if you're really serious. You're talking about a company that's trying to change the way games are played (first with motion controls and now with a tablet-like controller) while other companies still keep the old joystick model (or fail terribly by trying to imitate Nintendo with stuff like Kinect and Move).
You're talking about a company that made a device...
The moment I read the article title I thought about Dragon Age Inquisition. I started playing it this weekend, I've been playing it for a little more than 4 or 5 hours, and I still feel completely lost. If I hadn't spent so much on this game, I would probably have stopped playing it by now.
And this is without mentioning the buggy mess that this game is. Sometimes it just refuses to work for more than 10 minutes and it just closes itself.
I agree with what you said about the game's flaws. The leveling system is specially atrocious. I could only play this game with a leveling mod.
I don't like how the reviewer says "premium currency", implying that you have to pay for it, but doesn't say that the game gives a good number of mythril to you for free. By giving one each day on the Mythril Motherload (or two depending on the normal daily login bonus), plus the mythril you get on normal dungeons and event dungeons, you really only pay if you want to.
I only paid for some gems (that are the paid currency that can be used instead of mythril ...
I tried DQVIII and DQIX. Both of them lost me when common enemies were too hard and gave too few experience points, and I saw myself having to hunt for those annoying metal slimes to get stronger.
For me this is bigger news than all of E3 combined. Specially because the creator said that it probably wouldn't be made because the series didn't sell enough in Japan.
In fact, the only game I truly thank PS Plus for "giving" me is Virtue's Last Reward, that let me discover this wonderful series.
Oh God, I forgot to put the "/s"... I was actually making fun of 10-2 and 13-2 names. Forgetting to put "/s" in N4G is worse than forgetting to put ";" in most programming languages.
From the moment that Final Fantasy 10-2 and Final Fantasy 13-2 were created, The Elder Scrolls VI: Skyrim 2 doesn't feel so strange.
I don't think that makers of a fan made game should say too much about their project before it's finished. Doing so is the same as begging for a cease and desist order.
