Layoffs and Studio Closures are a regular thing in the games industry. I'd like to think with the talent Sony has and the reputation they have, they want to keep what they've got the best they can. Surely they give employees an opportunity to relocate to another group and on another project. Stig Ausmisun had his project canned and they offered his team other project opportunities and he turned Santa Monica Studios down so, but he's now at Respawn so the game industry benefits by ...

Yeah..... I hate service games. PlayStation absolutely did breed gamers that love story narrative driven based games, but when Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with the Xbox One, PlayStation inherited a large sum of their customer fanbase and a lot of Nintendo's fans as well that saw the Wii and got into gaming, but the Wii U wasn't that impressive. With the Xbox crowd came the interest in Service-based games and PlayStation didn't really do that so, to appease them, I guess ...

On the Sabbath? Xbox wants to be sure not to offend anyone else, but they do their showcase on the Sabbath instead of a Friday huh. They've got a funny way of doing business. LGBTQP+ is a fad and this is proof of it

Oh, and Microsoft was quick to post all of the same trailers today to not be too far behind PlayStation, so all of the games, except probably three, are also coming to Xbox

My dissapointment is that Sony had a chance to say: "Microsoft is about to acquire Activision-Blizzard, this is what PlayStation is all about" because shortly after the Showcase, Xbox quickly took to the net to announce all the games PlayStation just hyped up for them. Sony needs to tell the gaming world why they need a PlayStation, just like they did with the PS4, following the PlayStation Network outage that caused PS3 gamers to jump ship to Xbox 360 FOR CALL OF DUTY. PlayStation ...

Dont use/waste your strongest platform on marketing for Xbox. PlayStation Showcase should give you a reason to want to invest in PlayStation, not tell the world why their Xbox is good enough. With Xbox acquiring Activision-Blizzard, PlayStation should be talking to Take Two and Capcom to take Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil, and Street Fighter. Why is Street Fighter 6 on Xbox anyway when Street Fighter V was a PlayStation exclusive and after Sony bought EVO?

Nothing's original these days, man. Everything draws from something before it and everyone's a fan of someone else, just how it goes, dude.

Now, I'm all about having modern games on modern hardware. I don't want a beast of a machine to play 2nd generation graphics games on, I want a new experience with current visuals, but to pull out the old console and hook it up to the heaviest TV in existence, well, then get to experience classic pieces of art. Museums a...

And unless they can acquire Activision-Blizzard it'll stay that way. The only way to bail themselves out is to buy out someone else, they're that had in this business. Xbots just can't let go. They keep holding on for that glimmer of hope, no matter how bad they're beaten like a black Labrador. Microsoft just don't know the industry while PlayStation make sure that gamers are at the forefront. The losses of Shawn Layden, Andy House, Jack Tretton, and all of their third-par...

And then they can run ads like mobile games do they've been talking about doing. It's Microsoft still not learning from past mistakes. Last time this happened they were talking about increasing Xbox Live to $120/yr and everyone became furious over the matter and then Microsoft found how angry everyone was so testing the water was the bad idea and they did what they usually do. Came out and apologized for it and then as usual, Microsoft fans said: Hey, it's okay, you learned from i...

Which makes no sense because they're buying studios. Just give them a different project to work on, assign them something instead of shutting them down. Ask if they'd like to work on, an old IP to revive it instead of wasting talent, that goes to Microsoft. Lame.....

Microsoft has had the same problem. They buy the Gears IP and then Rod Ferguson leaves. (Goes to show as well that even Microsoft's bottomless pockets isn't appealing enough)

Eh, but it did. Nintendo staged it for SEGA to wind up in front of Senator Liberman running for Senator that year, that went over well. Afterwards Nintendo's Howard Lincoln wrote SEGA: "Roses are red, violets are blue, so you had a bad day, boo hoo hoo." This was over Mortal Kombat and violent video games. This is business, man. Business and politics play by the same rules.

If Microsoft had any pride or integrity and respect for the industry, the Major League ...

Nintendo's never really wanted to get along with Sony anyway. Maybe if PlayStation ruffles enough feathers everyone will decide its just not worth it and give up. Nintendo has done just fine without Activisions help, why should they bother with Call of Duty now? Activision was gonna do StarCraft Ghost after porting StarCraft to the N64 and then left em high and dry. Nintendo doesn't need Activision, and they don't need Microsoft's help. Nintendo was moving along long before Mi...

That's gotta hurt. Maybe PlayStation is lucky they didn't get this one. They've had a really solid lineup without any lemons. As an exclusive, this may not have looked good, but then maybe Sony wouldn't have rushed Arkane to get it out. Maybe they would have allowed for more time to polish. But, coming from an Xbox studio in the midst of everything looking bleak and Microsoft wondering what's going on with their Xbox division, well, it just doesn't look good. Xbox Game...

There isn't any:
1) Because Microsoft's preoccupied fighting with Sony over the Activision deal.
2) Everybody says it sucks (except new YouTube content creators that are trying to take off and got their first chance to try it, because anybody on YouTube can get a review code) so, Bethesda is playing off of their desperation to help Arkanes desperation.

Funny, when Arkane was developing for Sony, they were doing awesome and, apparently, blowing the ...

@ -Mika- While I agree, don't you think buying Activision-Blizzard is aggressive enough? It's pretty aggressive, but that's it

But Microsoft has bottomless pockets with infinite money to spend so, who cares right? Just keep on going and keep on spending

....... Giving your game away for free doesn't effect sales.... I guess not if your games look like they're on SNES. But look at games on PS4 and PS5 that look like God of War or Horizon, then sure, I guess that's worth paying money for. Thank you for validating my opinion that indie games should be given away for free which is what Game Pass is.

In fact, Xbox is so bad and developing games, that they have to take them from Sony (MLB The Show) and give that away...

It's worth mentioning as well, and suspicious as all hell, that Microsoft quickly like off the black market shady deal, accepted MLB The Show that's not their series or from their developer or that they have to pay for. WHO DOES THAT!?? If they had any pride or integrity, they'd have told the MLB NO, THATS NOT HOW WE DO THINGS IN THIS INDUSTRY. YOURE NOT GONNA SEE HALO OR GEARS OF WAR(THEY HAVENT DONE ANYTHING WITH) ON PLAYSTATION. NO THATS DIRTY POOL. But they know they have noth...

Unfortunately, it won't be Microsoft's demise. Seriously, Xbox fans have let Microsoft treat them like a beaten Labrador for way too long. Microsoft makes promises and breaks them, and then just apologizes, never tries to do better. Or imposes lame restrictions or price hikes and when the fanbase lashes out, they withdraw (which they were never allowed to get away with when the Xbox One imposed its restrictions and gamers left to greener fields (which is actually a thing on PS4 now, y...
