Because nobody wants to work for Microsoft (Game Studios). Duh.
Why should he be? Hes the middle man that sees everything anyway, including first-party Microsoft and Sony games. Halo is available on Steam and so is Horizon, so hes got nothing to worry about, hes PCs biggest gaming service, nothing changes for him except he now has first-party games from the competition on his platform. He loses nothing.
Plain and simple, dirty pool. The Show exists on Xbox because Phil Spencer went crying to the MLB and then proposed the idea to steal a Sony game. And what have Microsoft given Sony, in that regard? The original Gears Trilogy, Im not even talking 4 & 5, Im talking about milking the PlayStation community for an old series, but on PlayStation.
But seriously, this only happened because Phil Spencer cried to the MLB, he knew what he was doing all along.....
Bottomless pockets, it takes the fun out of it
Well, with all the controversy going on with Activision, who best to associate that with than Microsoft. Oh, and Bobby Kotick remains the CEO, all that talk of "WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT!" and with the Microsoft acquisition, its like that never happened and Microsofts lawyers will cleanup. Yay....
Idnt that how it always is these days? What a shame.....
This is good to see
Or maybe SEGA or Valve just cant count?
It happens, Phil Spencer really pulled a cheap shot to MLB but, because he whined and cried, MLB The Show is now on Xbox, dont tell me Sony is a closed or restricted ecosystem, they shouldnt have had to but was strong-armed into porting an exclusive and Sony developed (out of their pocket cost) to Microsoft at no cost to Microsoft other than dirty pool and griping and complaining, and have we seen Gears of War of PS? Nope.
Hes gonna pull an Xbox 180, just wait for it.
Geoff Keighley is missing the point then. I HATE when companies get all political and, honestly, I have my own opinion of whats happening right now in that area, but Im not allowed to speak my mind without retaliation, but, eh from a business perspective where Keighley is trying to build relationships with hands that feed and give him all kinds of free stuff and early hands on while everyone else has to wait, right now, its kind of bad business. It makes no sense, as well, as he had no proble...
What do they have to do with anything? That seems like the most hypocritical group anyway.
Sony pampers Japan, like theyre so picky they have to be bought off. Maybe Japan just doesnt give a crap anymore, they wanna gamble instead and actually focus on their career and schooling, rather than getting drunk at a frat party, Im just saying....
Phantasy Star Online 2, for some strange reason, still remains an Xbox Exclusive, its been some time now, still no PlayStation release, and it originally launched on PS Vita and I guess PS4 in Japan?
Free 2 Play multiplayer means youre spending $60 on a campaign likely not any longer than 20 hours with an open world that sounds, already, like it has a lot of filler and, with their free 2 play model, obviously comes the business model quite like Street Fighter V with costs for objects so high that they push gamers that dont dedicate their lives to a single game to go for microtransactions..... Eh, Microsoft, you and EA, no wonder ya both get along so well..... I hate Microsofts business pr...
Game Pass is too expensive. I dont need it, Im a Game Room physical copy collector anyway.
Its to the gaming media, not random fans. Marketing people. Your average fan doesnt do anything for you. Ive got a long list of downloads on my purchases list that shocks PlayStation tech support every time I have to call in with a technical issue, I give Sony a lot of money, including TVs and monitors, but I dont ever get jack from them, not even $10 credits they send out and I advocate for them a lot but, I dont have a reputation in the media or the YouTube community so I dont profit Sony o...
Hes right though.
But Call of Duty makes Microsoft so much money that they dont wanna stir the pot too much but going after Activision makes them look good from a business standpoint.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is politics, business, and stellar marketing (the later what Microsoft does best) at its finest. Mind you, Microsoft and Xbox come out of one of the most liberal states in the country second, only, to California. Xbox isnt really this principled. You wanna talk morals, destruction of ...
Thats about how it goes every console generation. Theres one game type that makes a ton of money so everyone jumps on the bandwagon to capitalize on it, right. Last generation it was the Arena FPS (Overwatch, Fortnite, etc ). Before that it was the cover based third-person shooter fired up by Gears of War that suddenly everyone else started doing. We also saw what I guess youd call the Twin-Stick action-combat genre with games like God of War, Castlevania, and Dantes Inferno. Welcome to the b...
