I also noticed they added Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 back onto the digital marketplace for 360!
BC support?
It will happen. When is a question.
Personally, my entire 8th gen collection is digital (except Skylanders and last year's Infinity). I travel a lot and sometimes I have awesome internet and sometimes I have slow internet. I find that the availability of high speed internet is not as big a factor as the portability of lugging my gaming collection around with me. Because once you download a game, even if it takes days, you have it permanently.
I used ...
This last month of games on X1 has been crazy... Tons of indies games every week, plus Rare Replay, Gears Ultimate, MGS V, Dishonored, and Mad Max.
I am not a huge indie fan, but the number of games on X1 this past month has been insane.
Most are re-makes from PC and X360, but the support devts are showing is good for the console.
"Gaming media journalists" and "random developers" are scarier than the console vendor architects that actually know what they are talking about.
Most games have a definitive start and end to them. Destiny is an endless grind based on your levelling and acquisition of the weapons you dream that you need.
The story is completely forgettable.
I will play the games and then decide.
Sales wise, I am sure X1 will do fine this holiday season probably surpassing 2007. But, until people play the games we frankly don't know how good they are or aren't.
Oooooooooo....
That changes my stance on Destiny, I will now go out and spend $99 to buy a game that gives me an Exotic Sword. /s
All this game is a, is a lab rat shooter. You just run around forever playing the game getting nowhere and accomplishing absolutely nothing.
@OB1Biker
You can be interrupted but you have to take off the headset to address things. Which takes away from the immersion.
I have Oculus Rift. Very cool device and games are way better when playing it. But, it is only useful when no one is home and I don't get interrupted. Therefore, I have shelved it because that happens in my home about once a quarter.
I am not by no means saying Morpheus is not cool and very fun, I am just saying that no...
A lot of people growing up in this generation seem to be excepting them. It is funny my kids have a Tsom Tsoms game on their iPads and are always asking me to give them money to buy more in the game.
Whereas people like me who grew up paying $60 for a game and never having to pay more simply are refusing microtransactions.
Personally, I have been reassessing playing video games now that microtransactions are here. Simply put it is making gaming much more ex...
Really, this is just another thinly veiled fanboy article.
Most games finish their DLC in 3-9 months. I don't know why a game that is almost a year old is making news by saying it won't have any more DLC.
Yep, gamers prefer if developers just release the same games over and over, without any innovation or attempts to do anything new. /s
That is so stupid.
I bought a lot of games last gen on launch and enjoyed them.
But, this gen, I have moved away from launch because games are shipping betas rather than fully completed and fully functional games.
Why spend $60 at launch to play a game that's not finished when I can wait 6 months, it will be patched and usually able to buy the game around $20-40 on sale?
Last gen MS had a policy where games could only have so many patches and the patch si...
VR has been available in many forms by many companies over the years. I don't see how its success or fail will change with Morpheus.
The fundamental problem that the technology faces is that it separates you from the realities of your home. Your family can't interrupt you, you can't take phone calls, you can't text with friends through your phone, you can't check your computer/tablet for video solutions, etc. You are in doing VR or you are outside doing...
This gen has started slowly. I can think of no game that I can't get on another console that is a must have except for Sunset Overdrive.
The rest of this gen has been re-masters and third party games that can be played on many platforms.
As for quality... Battlefield 4, Halo MCC, Assassin's Creed Unity, Witcher 3, Lords of the Fallen, Deadrising 3, and many more AAA games had to have massive patches to fix a host of issues in each game. This gen ha...

Really to this point of the year there has only been one game that has really stood out from the competition. Other than that (Bloodborne) X1 has had just as many exclusives/console exclusives spread through the year...
Forza Horizon Fast & Furious, Screamride, Neverwinter, World of Tanks, Massive Challice, Ori and the Blind Forest, etc. and suite of over 40 new Indie games from July and August. The thing about MS is they are not making a big deal about every single gam...
I actually don't mind them re-mastering these games, but they need to add value when they do it.
Prototype's remaster added absolutely nothing to the game. Same textures, just rendered at a higher resolution and better framerates.
The best re-masters:
1) Upgrade the textures, character models, etc.
2) Add more content (All DLC is a given)
3) Modernize the gameplay if needed
4) Add more to the background of the...

If Scalebound lives up to those games then we are in for a treat!
Can you please let me know in the gameplay that has been shown so far what Sony is doing to "define the generation" though Uncharted?
I'm not going to say this will be a bad game because it won't be. Every Uncharted game absolutely rocks. But, Uncharted 1 re-defined the action-adventure genre not the generation. Uncharted 2 built on that, and same with Uncharted 3...
To me the two games that really defined last gen was Gears of War and TL...
So the guy slags it for:
- redundant races
- the optional mods
- innovation
Ummmm... OK...
So, no other racers except forza have mods or drivatars. No other racing sims have 3D puddles, no other racing sims take into account which courses would have wet conditions and which ones wouldn't.
It is a racing sim based on real world courses. Of course it is redundant. That is the nature of racing sims.
