When I look at what I feel should be remade I always think about playable the game is today and how I feel it could be improved. To me, Code Veronica is the game they should remake now and RE4 later when it is more outdated.

This is good. Although this is not something I really have time for, I spent about 20 hours on it and it is a worthwhile creator tool to get into!

There are different models to make money. Selling individual game licenses is just one of them. If you get enough subscribers like Microsoft has, you can make just as much if not more money in the subscription model.

There are game collectors that will always buy games. But for the rest of the world there is no reason to pay $50-60 a game vs. $5 a month to receive a few hundred games. No justification for the model at all. Personally, I am a game coll...

Microsoft has gone through a transformation the past 5-10 years.

They have gone from arrogant money hoarders not listening to the market to an extremely agile organization responding to almost everything the way the market is going. Whether it is Windows, Office (now Microsoft 365), Azure, their PC devices, or XB.... All are in an agile mode and innovating their respective markets to try and become market leaders.

Satya should get the credit for all the...

Assassin's Creed has a history of solid gameplay. I don't see how this one is going to be any different.

Although I do like to see gameplay, the trailer was pretty spectacular. very long draw distances, the water sprays over the boat, the character realism with individual feathers/fur on the jackets swaying realistically in the wind. That trailer gives us a sign of what to expect and it was really good.

Yup, they already have a game subscription service.

They just need to improve the offerings. aka Put day one games on the service.

And last generation the PS3 was the one making the mistakes at the start of the generation. And without those mistakes Sony would not have started to offer free games with its PSN+ network subscription, lowered the price of their console quickly, and figured out how to make blu-ray work with a gaming console (aka loading disc games to HDD for performance). Not to mention their mistake in trying to develop their own processor for gaming which they changed on the PS4 to a more standard archit...

I will agree that XB started this gen poorly and were focused on the wrong things (everything except games).

Essentially they tore most of their gaming organization apart and were going for entertainment... Rare on the Kinect and OS, contracted first party games with low quality, etc.

I do agree that MS has to prove itself rather then just look like they are changing direction.

But, it is obvious that they have been changing directio...

Neither Persona 5 or FF Vii Remake are published by Sony.

1) Nintendo Switch is selling strong and could over take PS4. Especially since it is so strong in Japan.
2) XBO X is more powerful than PS4 Pro, but this gen was decided before those consoles shipped
3) Yes, sony will be the leader again next gen. But it isn't going to be as easy as this gen

2022 what?

MS First Party publishing this year (Announced or shipped):
- Ori and the Wisp of the Willows - Metacritic 90
- Bleeding Edge - Metacritic 67
- Gears Tactics - Metacritic 81
- Wasteland 3
- Minecraft Dungeons
- Halo Inifinite
- Grounded (Preview)

A nice, diverse lineup that goes throughout the year.

Ya, I know the argument.... Not interested in any of those games...

It is not only value with Stadia. It is also about the "places I can play". Stadia you have to have a high speed internet connection. GamePass and PSNow you don't need that as you can download and play locally.

So, what would a successful number be?

25% of console owners buying anything on a console is huge.

How many games get 25% of console owners to buy them? PSVR has less then 10%, Kinect was considered successful and it reach only 25%, I don't know what you are smoking but 25% attach rate on a service for a console is large. The closest subscription services to GamePass is PSNow. In October 2019 PSNow announced 1 million subscribers.

Yes, I would turn it down.

My personal pride and reputation is far more important to me then millions of dollars.

That is a huge problem in the world today. All people care about is money. I don't have the answer to all the world's problems, but I know money is not the answer to any real problem.

There are many things that people buy and they don't own. Insurance, movie theaters, rock concerts, electricity from providers, Internet connections, etc.

The concept of selling anything is about value that people are willing to pay for it. It is not always about whether you have something physical in your home after you pay for it.

To me, Stadia is what it is. Personally I will not buy it because I feel that the streaming is not a primary way to p...

Personally, I love seeing these numbers. This talks more to enjoyment to me!

Translating from great talent to great games is what is needed. The Initiative has picked up a lot of great talent, but, we still know nothing at all about their first game.

I don't know why gamers obsess with sales and which console is better.

You don't buy a TV based on fastest although the processor plays a large role in TVs now. You buy it based on minimum specifications you expect the TV to hit. 120 Hz refresh rate, 4K, etc.

Consoles used to be about each ounce of power. That was because the games industry was continually innovating what games could be made on specific consoles. But, in 2020 and pretty much f...
