I can tell. Honestly though, I think they have better quality titles than Halo. For one Gears of War 1/2 were way better than H3, but I'm inclined towards Bioware's exclusive RPGs. Well, as close as you can get. Even if their titles are multiplatform, largely PC, nothing beats Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect. Good times, good times.
You missed Blaz-Blue: Calamity Trigger. No GotY list is complete without that game. :D
Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain are indeed the benchmarks for both animation and visual fidelity. Incredibly realistic. I'd say U2 beats it by a hair, just because Naughty Dog seems to have packed in a lot of detail in the environments, whereas Quantic Dream established the style but lacks that same minuscule background detail. What I'd love to see is ND and QD hammer out an engine together. Can't imagine what kind of sick love child that would produce.
I might be the only person who thinks this, but even if God of War III, The Last Guardian, Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Alan Wake, Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3/Prequel, Super Mario Galaxy 2, what have you, were to be released this year, I'd still say Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a strong contender for GotY. Could possibly even win. U2 might just be the game we've all been waiting for: perfect in every sense of the word (well, as close as you can get). Yes, it could fall shor...
Sony should use this as armor. Pull quotes from sites like Kotaku and show off the PS3's prowess LBP style. Sales figures leaping off the screen, game videos playing in the background, and the tiny slim sitting in the forefront innocent-like. You'd be amazed what reversed psychology can do. Take smoking for example, back in the day, when the first hazard suits were being filed, they came up with the death wish campaign and sold hundreds of thousands of cigarettes. You could shame Kotaku and b...
They also published Xam'd: Lost Memories, which is all sorts of awesome. In other words, STFU! As much as I'd love them catering solely to my interests, there are people who might actually want to see this. Sony isn't even a Network. It's not like I expect them to throw together some award winning show like Mad Men or Damages.
Well, I have to admit, I haven't been keeping up with IGN as of late, but what happened? I always knew there were more 360 fans than PS3 over there, but they at least tried to remain objective. Their articles were nice and thorough. Their reviews even better, but, now, it's as if they don't even care about their reputation. They were my favorite, but now I don't know. I knew journalistic integrity in the gaming field was f#cked, but IGN may have just erased every last trace of credibility lef...
Hmmm... kinda reminds me of the PSP font. Not bad, but the new releases will probably stand out from my old collection. I'm a little worried because of that, since I'm a perfectionist. However, I won't know for sure 'til I have one in my hands.
And this is why I will keep supporting you. :D
This, indeed. Has me biting my nails. There has to be one breakout hit eventually, though. I'd prefer it be this than anything else. Of course, I'd have still wished Okami and LBP had generated much much more, but past is past and all we can do now is look towards the future.
This has been a major influence on the game idea I'm working with right now. I have gained a new found respect for their accomplishment. What looks to be an intense drama is shaping my psychologically elaborate narrative. I don't think I'm wrong when I say this, but they are leading the way. I'm so excited for what the game industry's future holds for us now, impalpable.
I just spent five hours coming up with the basis for my story about a homosexual sociopath coming to terms wit...
lol Some of you are incredibly funny. I don't believe anyone was being defensive here, and, if the story had been true, it would have been a stupid business move. Hence, why I don't expect an apology from the ones who questioned the practice or validity. In other words, most of you are okay. It was directed more towards the users who tried to use this as another reason as to why they hate MS, which is as you said Kushan: RIDICULOUS. I think we're all in the same boat. lol Some of you boggle m...
They'll still hate Microsoft, regardless of the correction. Those who hate MS usually have more reasons than one. This doesn't erase their past mistakes, in their opinion, obviously. Me? No, I don't hate Microsoft, and I never attacked Microsoft in the previous article. I said it was a stupid move, and doubted the story was true. It would have been a lawsuit waiting to happen. No one in their right minds we try to pull such a move.
Matter of fact, if you're one of the people who ...
This isn't true, is it? They could get themselves sued. Matter of fact I'm already smelling a lawsuit. If so, Bungie will probably end up losing. There would need to be some form of warning from retailers in order for them to do this. I'm unaware of any clause that allows them to do this. If this is indeed sound, Bungie is going to get themselves royally screwed. There's no way any company could be this stupid. Would have to be one of the worst business moves I've seen in a long while.

I'd prefer a 360 wrapped in "Caution" tape and glows red in three quarters of a circle when working, and turns solid green when broken.
I love living on the edge! :D
Generally, new IPs, especially for mature audiences. That's the sweet spot for me. I don't mind sequels, but they have to feel unique. Otherwise, it falls flat. For example, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a breath of fresh air, but I don't want U2: Among Thieves being the sequel to Drake's Fortune. I want it to stand on its own. Sure it can have the same characters and continue the story, but, make no mistake, each sequel should feel like a NEW game. Kinda confusing, but I guess that's my poi...
I miss Persona 3. This serves as a lovely excuse to play it again. Don't mind the female lead at all. I've played a guy enough. Besides, I can finally hit on Akihiko. ^_^ Or maybe Junpei... Chidori will be one pissed chick.
Doesn't seem like this will have the second episode: The Answer. Darn. Oh well. You know they could have just made a third episode, but this time with a female lead. Then it wouldn't feel like a port so much. I don't mind the cursor highlighting in town, and t...
Honestly, though, who cares? It all falls on deaf ears. Not to say that they should continue forsaking objectivity. In fact, just the opposite, I hope they do let go of whatever bias they have, but that's not out responsibility. It's their lesson to learn. Everything they say will come around to bite them in the a$$. So why bother? It's better this way. They'll end up with foots in their mouths soon enough.
Regardless, it's still sad to see. Gaming journalists lack professionalis...
You kidding me?!? Unbelievable! The latest trailer is far better than any of the older ones. Even the art style has improved. Graphics too! Amazing!!! I'm so excited. A video game that's an actual straight up dramatic thriller. No stupid twists. No pulling punches. Heavy Rain delivered at GamesCom. I'm having a hard time choosing which I'm looking forward to more, Uncharted 2 or Heavy Rain.
I love the camera angles in particular. Whoever's overseeing the direction for this baby n...
WAIT A SEC...!!! Batman: Arkham Asylum was produced by Square-Enix?!? Oh my god, it's end of the world, which ends with you. :D
For those, who can't understand sarcasm, SE never published Batman. That's the work of Eidos... and WB... and DC (for the license at least).
EDIT: lol, just read the response to Relientk77. Wow, didn't see that one coming. Well, let's not waste space... meltdown imminent
