Yeah they really do seen to have learned from the mistakes of the admittedly shaky ps3 launch. I like it.
Should probably play them before you comment on them.
They've changed in more ways than I can think of. MGS4 let's you play it as both an action shooter and a stealth game, it's pretty clever and shows how much progress they've made over the series...
All he said was, in terms of how the storytelling is done; it's very traditional and he is absouoltely right. You shoot stuff, get a cutscene and then shoot more stuff and the cycle repeats itself over and over until the end.
Whereas he's saying that with the increased emphasis on social aspects, this could be worked into the story which is an interesting idea; I think it would be pretty ace if we played as a helghast colnel and could recruit members into our own squadrons onl...
As a fan of the series and Playstation, even I have to say the argument of MGS going multiplat "limiting the potential" is a load of crap.
Have you SEEN MGSV?! Doesn't look like it lost any potential to me...
That's not the point, it was hacked.
Agreed lol it's quite easy to just not buy one...
Even if I was an Xbox fan ( and I do like the 360 to an extent) I would be put off with just their arrogant attitude. I mean what if they raise the subscription fee for XBL Gold or ditch the free silver option? If they are just going to make decisions I don't agree with and tell me to "deal with it" when the console isn't even out yet then it's a pretty bad omen of the future I think.
If it turns out that the new Xbox REQUIRES I be online to play a game at all then I don't buy one, if its optional like it should be, then I probably will get one.
It's as simple as that, but I'm certainly not going to "deal with it" when both Sony an Nintendo are keeping it optional which is what it needs to be, at least IMO.
I don't think always online is necessarily a terrible idea, it's just not for everyone. It's not even the fac...
Usually I would do that but since PS4 apparently has no B/C I won't be this time.
It's going to be a good game, I think I as a fan of the series will enjoy this one more than most (not all) of the PS4 launch games.
Also MGSV, Kojima has only hinted that it MIGHT come to PS4 so I'm not going to get rid of my PS3, just on case.
And I spent most of my first few months owning a PS3, playing PS2 games on it until I discovered Oblivion so nah I wouldn&...
It is, nobody has ever thought of letting people upload video to the internet before.
It might, depends what we gamers use it for.
A bit like MiiVerse, could be great if people ever bothered READING AND REPLYING to the stuff there.
And that may be the problem with the PS4, why would I watch someone play KillZone when I can play KillZone?
Hmmm think I would want a mutliplayer that doesn't intertwine with the singleplayer to be honest. These games are supposed to be interactive stories of sorts and having another player interfere with your story like that?
I dunno....
I mean imagine if Heavy Rain had something like that, everyone would have the same ending with the other people online guiding them through the same path. Where it works in things like Jounrey where there is a linear goal to head to, i...
It really doesn't. I have one and even I can't really justify that statement yet.
I do love my Lego City though. =D
EDIT - thought I read "Wii U". I agree the WII has a lot of good games, yeah. Now if you would be so kind as to disagree and bubble down me for being a fool and misreading your comment, that would be great.
Nintendo do push people to use the gamepad, its only a problem in mutliplayer games from what I can tell... Then again I have only got like three games for it. I don't know if it will be a problem in the future, but for now and for me, its not really.
Renew it?
Lego City just came out for Wii U as did Monster Hunter
Game And Wario, Wii Fit U, Wind Waker HD, balloon fight and Rayman should be worth picking up on Wii U this year despite Sega just announcing they cancelled Aliens for Wii U. Then there are the multiplats like Disney Infinity and such.
No idea about the 360 though, I am sure it has some I just don't really pay as much attention to the 360 release window. I tend to just pick up games for that as and when they ...
But Sony are supporting them even when it is made free... I don't reckon DOA5 devs said "Yes give our game that only released a few months ago out for free, we don't mind." You would think they paid them for it and cover costs with the subscription fees?
But if you DID buy them, you would have sold them when they were made free, right?
I men if they were not made free and you wanted them, you would have bought them anyway. If just after that they were free on Plus, you could sell them and probably get yet another game with the money. Meaning Plus has by virtue given you even more stuff to play...
Guess it depends on perspective of the matter.
I sold DOA5 for £38 (special edition, bought for £42 on release) when it was free on PS+ this month.
To say it is an "issue" is a bit silly yes, because if that does happen, you can sell the one you bought and not lose the game(it's like free money! =0)
To say is not an issue in comparison to World issues is also silly, though.
Probably can actually, I reckon PS4 will have a feature that lets people do exactly that.
EA just announced Fifa 14, it'll be cool if Sony show that and like how people can use the share function to show goals etc easily. I mean for football fans.
