And why even put extra power into the internet (I am not calling it "cloud"... It is the internet)?
Surely it would have been better to put it into the actual box?
Nope. PSP could play PS3 games too but it was via direct communication between the two or via WI-FI. Like the PS3 sent the image to the device, so the PSP just essentially became a TV screen. I imagine that, at least for a while, that is going to be the same case for Vita and 4.
MS saying they could literally render games via the internet... THAT is wishful thinking.
Not saying it is impossible but it is a bit too ambitious, at least for now.
The cloud is just...
Hmmm calling their bluff on that one.
Looks a bit strange, random cubes and all but its nice to see PS4 being pushed this early.
No one is going to pre order a PS4 in Tesco after the WII U fiasco though... Jeez, what a fail, that and then the horse meat thing was enough to put me off buying pretty much anything from them.
Does seem to indicate they are convinced it will be out this year which is good.
"Shoot down COD" I see what you did there.
Its back now.
£120 tough for UK, damn, that aint cheap lol
Thought about it for a minute but nope. Not even for GTA am I spending that much for one game.
I mean, three times the price for a map, cheap hat with Los Santos written on it and a bag...
ShopTo were listing it for like 10 minutes, looks like they removed it though.
PlayStation4 in the title.
They obviously planned for that. It will be like, it will fully download say, the first 6 hours of the campaign, by the time you get that far, the rest will have downloaded or if not, will be close.
You will probably need to exit the game to install the remaining data after you get to a certain point in the game. If it isnt done, you wait. But it probably will be fine by then.
You still need to DL 50% of the file to play it, which is still going to take a while for a lot of people. Not that "futuristic" really, if you ask me.
PS4 needs to be instant or very close to instant. But for now, 50% i better than nothing I guess. And what better game to test it on? =D
Agree. It's as legit as a $3 bill
GTA 6? =P
Anyway waiting for games only to go bankrupt when they all release at the same time is the joy of being a gamer.
And just think, it makes us really good at managing finances, so that's a thing.
One year doesn't = an entire generation.
I am 21 years old, not 21 generations old.
It's not even a year old for that matter.
I don't know but it's fun which is good enough for me.
All it needs is more games, which is happening gradually.
Okay, love my WII U but that was pretty damn funny.
Because the Dreamcast will never die! It lives in my heart! <3
Honestly, I really, really loved my Dreamcast. It provided some classic games like Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, Crazy Taxi 1 & 2, Toy commander (which is BEGGING for a PSN / XBL release with online play soooooooooo bad!)
Dreamcast was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time.
Quite a lot like the WII U, then.
No presentation, but they will be showing and announcing stuff still =)
It's even sadder that Pysgnosis which became Studio Liverpool is now completely gone. Which I suppose pretty much rules out any hope of ever hearing anything from this series again. No reboots or re releases or even PSN releases.
I'm trying to remember what else they made, I know there was this and WipEout but I'm sure I remember playing other stuff from them.
I literally only JUST today figured out what Journey actually was.
Journey is "The Hero's Journey" Monomyth represented as a videogame, making the player the protagonist.

Notice the soundtrack is literally named after the...
