It does look clunky and clumsy which is a minor flaw in some games but a killer in ones like this.
You could either say that nobody got it because it was an abstract concept that doesn't work as a game or that it was something so visionary that it went over everybody's stupid heads.
I know which sounds more likely.
I've been on a Lovecraft binge recently, listening to audiobooks because I don't have the time to read and you're dead right. I had initially thought that they'd be sort of quaint old timey stories but they've held up extremely well and make you pay full attention and take them seriously.
I've started noticing references to Lovecraft in games now, Bloodborne is strongly influenced by Innsmouth and Darkest Dungeon is absolutely steeped in Lovecrafti...
I wasn't under the impression that it just happens without anyone having to do anything. What I'm saying is that it doesn't have the same level of polish as other areas of the game like graphics and gameplay but it should.
Thumbs up from me. Devs usually treat commentary as an unimportant afterthought but considering how much time you spend listening to it I think it should be much higher on the priority list.
I think a Fallout series would work best if it stuck to the format of the games, meaning that we follow a man and his dog as they find their way in a severely messed up and violent world. There are such a variety of quests, swinging in tone from extremely grim and dark to warm and humorous, that it would feel fresh and interesting every time you watched it.
Just don't get bogged down with having them help other people and getting involved in groups, could get boring qu...
I remember a Star Trek game for the Gameboy, even as a kid who thought every new game was awesome I could tell it was pretty bad.
As you'd expect, sometimes an open world setting makes a game better and sometimes it doesn't. The format of the game needs to be tailored to the game itself. There's nothing quite like leaving the vault in Fallout and having 360 degrees to go and explore but if you're just going to use open world as a way to pad play time and you don't have anything interesting to do with the format then don't use it.
I'm absolutely terrified.
So a film version of the first game then. Don't get me wrong that's pretty much what I'd like as well, I think I only saw the first film all the way through but I didn't think it was faithful to the games or even an ok film in its own right.
I'd be willing to bet that barely anyone who worked on the films had played the games so that'd be a good starting point for a potential reboot.
It's simply a case of quality over quantity with Rockstar and when the quality shows no sign of dropping then there's nothing to worry about. The length of time between games, frustrating as it is, has nothing to do with it.
I was quite hyped about it until I played the demo and quickly realised I didn't like the gameplay. If it wasn't for the disappointing hands on then I'd have bought it as it was marketed well and seemed right up my street.
Loads of tv shows these days have multiple big name actors in them. Not stratospherically big but hardly unknowns. Anson Mount and Eva Green are both very well known for their tv work.
Yeah Kate Beckinsale would be perfect. Not sure about how good an actress she is because I can only remember her from crap films but she basically is her looks wise and I'm sure she could manage the role.
Bit conflicted about Eva Green as Yennefer, acting wise a great fit but I don't find her remotely attractive and her supernatural beauty is part of the character really.
Nikolai Coster Waldau (Jamie Lannister) for me, ticks a lot of boxes. Even has the Thrones connection which wouldn't hurt the image of the show.
Funny thing is if they were face to face with her they'd be looking at their shoes and mumbling. People are so brave over the internet.
Makes you appreciate the quality of big games more when you see stuff like this.
Uncharted 2 is their best for me and TLOU is one of their worst. Good acting and writing but they forgot the gameplay.
People complain about and criticise TV, films, music, sport and video games. It's just human nature, it doesn't make anyone entitled.
