I think he's right, I haven't seen anyone with a good word to say about him for ages. Seems like people want him to fail and he's brought it on himself.
Not that it's the only factor of course if the game was excellent it'd be irrelevant.
Gwent is the best video game card game but Triple Triad is worth a mention, good game with great music and the typical complex yet satisfying method of collecting all the cards you get from JRPGs.
I thought the open world in LA Noire was a bit of a waste, it was competent but pointless. If there was anything worth doing other than progressing the story I don't remember what it was.
Let's get this right because on every article about NMS people are raging about being lied to. It's a fact that an independent investigation concluded that Hello Games didn't intentionally mislead consumers.
That is all.
What about the fact that an independent investigation found them not guilty of intentionally misleading consumers? Sorry if that interferes with your desire to whinge.
Not the best timing to do a catch up piece a few days before a major update.
Yeah I've seen some big fellas but they just wander around looking weird and doing nothing. They seem to be addressing the main criticisms of the game and the lack of interesting animals is definitely one of them. Logically if you keep on landing on alien planets you're going to have to deal with aggressive natives but it doesn't really happen, you can just ignore them.
The NPCs look way better now too and the way you interact with them is slicker. When I first saw an alien it took me aback with how rough it looked tbh but they look good now.
Just thinking about what the next update could be...I'd like one based on wildlife. At the moment I basically ignore animal life I find on planets because they look goofy and don't do anything interesting. How about more realistic and dangerous animal behaviour with a reworking of how they lo...
Since this update I've been enjoying exploring planets a lot more, they have real character now and no longer have that feeling of seen one seen them all. The graphics update makes everything look sharper and more realistic. I haven't got started on the story yet but the game does look and feel a lot better than it did before.
It looks much nicer now graphically.
It's an enjoyable game to spend time in but it's always lacked the sort of rewarding busywork that other games have, now it's got the space exploration and missions setup it's on very solid ground.
Bottom line is there's no proper career mode despite the stats he's coming out with.
Procedural missions is probably going to be the big one for me, it's the biggest thing I've thought it was missing from the start.
Pic from a different game and an article description which means the opposite of the headline is pretty shoddy.
Some people will like the new direction but I suspect the majority of the fanbase won't and if they aren't making the game for them then they've lost touch with common sense.
My favourite part of the games used to be buying some crappy second hand Daewoo and working towards buying an exhaust for it and gradually making some decent money with a car that was eventually best in class. It's a shame they didn't continue down that path it gave them a niche over the competition and to me at least was the meat of the game.
Played this for the first time in a while earlier and enjoyed it, it was relaxing and unique. Put GTAO on after it and found myself getting irritated with various things, more my problem than GTA's but still the chilled out nature of NMS is very pleasant.
I quite like the idea of the crap games mixing with the quality ones, more fun that way and something for everyone. It's not always good to be overly concerned about image and quality control.
It's a good thing the people upset about this weren't around when video games first came about or they'd have labelled them as far too hard and therefore unplayable and the industry would have never got started.
Most of the time these days I don't like a hardcore challenge in gaming, life has enough of those, but this clearly isn't one. There are multiple difficulty levels and even if you intentionally try to fail you won't. It's a non issue.
It'd be like if Bloodborne 2 ditched the entire story and was just chalice dungeons with the aim to prepare you for PVP in specially designed arenas. Sure lots of people like PVP but it'd be missing the point of the game.
That's Salt and Sanctuary.
