Well, I'd personally take Mass Effect 2 (RPG), Alan Wake (Thriller), Crackdown 2 (Open World), Metro 2033 (shooter), Splinter Cell: Conviction (shooter), and LIMBO (platformer) over those games.
I also find articles like this pretty odd when they include games that aren't released yet in a best games of the year list... It doesn't make much sense to me. You never know which games are going to miserably flop. It can be very surprising sometimes.
Oh, I didn't know there was a comparison to be made between Wii Sports and MW2, because I didn't know MW2 was bundled with every single PS3 sold since launch...
I can just see when GT5 comes out. Any website that gives GT5 a lower score than Forza 3 (and I bet there will be a lot of them, especially since Forza 3 got quite a few perfect scores) will automatically be declared biased and paid by Microsoft. They will be shunned until they review a 360 exclusive lower than a competing PS3 exclusive, at which point they will regain all credibility once again.
Surely GT5 can't be worse than Forza 3! It has better graphics!
3 of these 5 games are multiplatform games that look worse on the PS3. And I hope everyone realizes that this article is from a 360 magazine, which is why it only includes 360 games.
I don't necessarily think he's biased. I'll admit I'm on my fourth 360 as well, and I'm sure not a PS3 supporter.
25 million Xbox LIVE users out of 42 million 360s sold.
50 million PSN users out of 36 million PS3s sold, 60 million PSPs sold, and Sony's website.
PSN is not just on the PS3.
I'm looking forward to Halo: Reach, Fallout: New Vegas, Medal of Honor, The Sims 3, Fable III, LittleBigPlanet 2, Dead Rising 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Mafia II, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. That sounds like a pretty great holiday season to me!
That doesn't stop PS3 fans from calling GT5 or LBP2 GOTY 2010.
That's what they said about GTA IV. And Fallout 3. And Red Dead Redemption. It seems just about every open world game runs better on the 360 for some reason. It is kind of sad though, that PS3 fans have to hope for their version just to be equal to the 360 version. I think they deserve better!
Microsoft has Windows. They release games on Xbox and Windows. If games that come out on the PC and 360 do not count as exclusives, then there is no point in doing direct comparisons because the exclusive situation is different for the two consoles. Microsoft does not live in a fantasy world of counting exclusives and this game isn't exclusive! Yes it is! No, it's not!
If it was Sony Windows, then I bet Uncharted 2 would be on PS3 and PC, as well as most other big PS3...
Nice review. I guess this confirms I'll be getting the 360 version for graphics as well, not just for achievements and the controller.
Well words, specifically those here on N4G, are what have made PS3 fanboys "the definitive laughing stock of this generation."
In that case, it's going to look pretty pathetic for Move, since it's already being dominated by Kinect in preorders. So if eBox outsells Kinect, then it also outsells Move, by a lot more.
Hopefully it will offer another easy 1000 achievement points. What did anyone play the last time one for other than that, anyway?
Every time I see Gears of War 3 is one of those moments.
Anyone who has played both Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 would be WAY more excited for Mass Effect 3.
How exactly is it "game over for Kinect" when Kinect is already destroying Move in preorders and it's still 3 months away? Kinect has everyone excited, including people who may not have played games before. On the other hand, casuals have no idea what Move is. It's only a month away and nobody's heard of it.
Well there go 5 million sales from the "deaf casual" crowd. And I guess Move can read sign language...
Once again, Sony's numbers are shipped to retailers, and VGChartz numbers are sold to consumers. Sony has clearly overshipped the PS3 by a lot in the last quarter. Take a look at this quick little analysis:
"Jan-March 2010: According to Sony, PS3 shipped 2.2 million
During that time, PS3 sold 950.9k in NPD + 500k in Media Create = 1.45m North America/Japan.
April-June 2010: According to Sony, PS3 shipped 2.4 million
During that time,...
