The Halo franchise has always been phenomenal in every category except for graphics. Well that seems to be a thing of the past. With Reach, it's now phenomenal in every category.
How exactly would a beta for a PS3 exclusive cut into a 360 exclusive's sales?

The lowest reported gap ever was 3.6 million, but many analyses showed that Sony clearly overshipped in their last fiscal quarter after supply shortages in the beginning of the year. They sold less units in every region, according to official sources such as NPD and Media Create, yet shipped more units than the previous quarter. The lowest the gap ever reached was 4.6 million. It is now back up to 5.4 million since the 360 Slim's release and strong sales.

I believe Sony is already the king of taking losses.
Now all Microsoft has to do is allow Final Fantasy XIV to be on the 360. Lighten up their Xbox LIVE policies that were holding Square Enix back and development can continue for the 360. They need to be a little more lenient.
Halo has already broken video game sales records, and now it will break box office records.

-Kinect
Mass Effect 2, Halo: Reach, Fable III, and Gears of War 3; Those are my GOTYs for 2010/2011.
If you actually read the article, you would know this has nothing to do with the price of Xbox LIVE, but with Microsoft's strict policies when it comes to releasing content on the service.
