Agreed. I looked at the comments on the original line said on the Kotaku article about the rape to see a whole crap load of people bitching about this as if it was an insult. Really? Females in movies have been raped for about 50 years now. Girls in books? Since somewhere near the beginning. But we do this in a game and it's such a disgrace? Or it makes you so angry you have to rant about it?
It's been said before and it apparently needs to be said again: Gamers need ...

Every argument against Evolution has been debunked, hmm?
I have one question. One. A very simple one.
How did this mass/matter/whatever evolve? By that I mean, how did it get there so that it would eventually evolve.
It had to get there somehow, didn't it? The same could be asked of Creationists of God and for that, I have a response: When we die, we will discover is there truly is a God or not. If there is, ask Him ho...
I don't really feel it was amazing. While there were some really nice touches (how Max's body handles the environment while shoot-dodging, great graphics, nice set-pieces), there's a lot I didn't care for. The writing, for instance, sounds more like Rockstar than Remedy. You can tell that it simply wasn't the same with lines like, "This place was like Baghdad in g-strings." The gameplay is... KIND of Max Payne-esque with the shoot-dodging and the dual-wielding, b...

Before MP3 released, the series had sold 7.5 million copies as of September 2011. I think that's plenty of fans to be sitting in there.
You have to remember, when the first game came out, it was pretty damn huge for PC gamers. It had so much new technology and it was jus...
If they do, I simply wouldn't buy it. The bot matches, especially when friend is thrown in, were my favorite bit of the series. I guess it's just because I'm a sucker for games with bot matches, though.
Well, what the hell? The game should've been bought by people BEFORE they closed. The game certainly deserves it.
My problem with girl gamers isn't that they're girls, it's that a lot of the girl gamers I've seen act as if their gender makes them special. I almost always see a, "I'm a girl gamer and I think BF3 sucks" or something along those lines, as if it's really necessary for them to state their gender.
Also, it annoys the piss out of me when girls go, "I LOVE video games" and, when asked what games they play, the respond only with Call of...
I swear, people like you need to be slapped.
Explain some things to me.
1. What does this have to do with PC gaming?
2. Who the hell talks about which form of gaming is "cooler"? Core gamers will probably say that when speaking of casual games, but whether you play 360, PS3, or PC in a core-gaming fashion, you're cool with the rest of the core gamers. The problem is with those people who can't stand you playing PS3 when you ...
Most of the people who bought it, I think. I come back to it sometimes.
Isn't it sad that a game that's been released for 6 months is a game to which you're now saying, "It's getting finished"?
*sigh*
Because PCs no longer exist...
Wow, that's pretty much EXACTLY what happened for me. Played about 15 hours, didn't play for a month, uninstalled. Weird.
@The_Nameless_One
Well, in the case of Tim Schafer, he's been proven to be a fantastic guy with a team that can create fantastic games time and time again. So... where's the Schafer love?
In the case of 38 Studios/Big Huge games, it barely requires any sort of research to see that the time is devised of many veteran...
Cool story, brah. Why don't you tell it to me again?
Agreed. Though, replace "Psychonauts" with "pretty much every Time Schafer game" and you're good to go.
As I said in my own comment, people would rather buy Skyrim that Amalur? Wwwhhhhaaa-
Well, this just blows. While I'll admit that the flowery beginning setting made a terrible first impression for me (You've got to grasp my attention the whole way through, not just here and there), I'll always tell everybody about the more fantastic elements. The combat, card system of character classes (innovative as all hell, no?) and, of course, being able to name your boots "Penisjew McGoo" (I'm such a five year-old) are great things this game brought to the tabl...
Actually, Sony learned from the PS3 that, when developing tech, it's best to go to developers and ask them what'll make it easier to create games upon. Sony then tweaks the tech accordingly while maintaining as much of it's power as possible. That's what they did with the Vita and that's what they're doing for the PS4.
*sigh* What the hell happened to Ghost Recon? I mean, this might be a good game and all (I haven't played it), but when the formula changed, it shouldn't have used the Ghost Recon name. This one's just so "OH, LOOK, BAD-GUYS. USE YOUR AWESOME STUFF TO KILL 'EM" when that was never what the original was about.
Still, Red Storm's a good developer. Here's hoping this game is received well.
@Bereaver
Now, I haven't played D3, but I know for a fact that Diablo 1 had random quests. In some playthroughs, you would get the quest dealing with the Butcher, in others, the missing sign from the tavern, etc.
Now, I may not have played D3 yet, but I'm almost certain that it doesn't have THAT. Hell, I don't even think D2 had quests like that (though I may be wrong, it's been AAAAGGGGEESSS since I played a Diablo game).
Agreed. I've noticed something, actually. Back in '09 when the 360 actually had a larger number of games coming out, the fanboys weren't going, "HAHA PS3 fags, you have to wait 6+ months to get the F3 DLC!!", at least not from what I remember.
I'm assuming more kids have popped onto this site by this point, not realizing that "fanboyism" is still a fantastically stupid thing to do... or the people who've been on here have just gotten an...
