An "unexpected cataclysm" like the Resonance Cascade? :P
You know, I had a friend who was one of the first guys on the team, who's still involved with the development (of course). I asked him how much longer before release, he said, "Oh, we're just putting some finishing touches on it. We estimate it'll be out in December."
Now, you may be thinking, "Wow, now we have a pretty good idea that'll be out in December of this year." NOPE. He said this LAST YEAR.
Yeah... that December 2...
ACtually, it wasn't delayed for 6 months to give Obsidian more time. Development was on hold for six months. I wish people would get their facts straight.
That was the entire development of Alpha Protocol. On/off and when it finally released, SEGA denied Obsidian the ability to release patches.
As for New Vegas, people really annoy me when they bash it. I played both F3 and NV at launch and they were pretty much just as buggy. And Fallout 3 was being deve...
Technically, it's the third sequel, but the fourth movie.
@IWBFG
Agreed, though. I think that movie's almost as good as the first and that's some high praise.
Agreed. First Blood is actually my favorite film of all time (TRON coming up behind it) and I have a LOT of hope that this game will be good, despite the developer's credits (let's face it, Heavy Fire wasn't all that great a game).
"And God said, 'I really friggin' love Rambo, so let this game be good.' And it was good."
I liked Conviction for what it was (certainly wasn't a Splinter Cell game, though) and was looking forward to a sequel... then it's like, "Oh... well... we got rid of Ironside."
That's the main reason I'm not getting this. The other is that, looking at the gameplay they showed us, the mix between stealth and action that made me like Conviction was gone and it was just about action. Inexcusable.
While I think Daggerfall was the best game, Morrowind was definitely a fantastic game and I loved it (still do). With Oblivion and Skyrim... I don't know, there's just something about them that turns me off from them. I guess it's just IV/V don't feel like they've had quite the same love put into them (Shivering Isles was great, though). That's just me, anyway.
Oh, and Diablo? Yeah, definitely gotten worse. Also, I should NEVER be able to say, "I ...
Hmm... can't you sue a company for saying you can't sue?
"Today"? How did I know this release date three days ago if they revealed it today?
This "news" is a bit late.
I'm rather disappointed they haven't done so already.
"BREAKING NEWS: Civil war breaks out after President Lincoln plays Spec Ops: The Line video game."
Let me ask you a question: Do you REALLY think that if the US made gun control really tight that this wouldn't have happened? Of course it would've because people who really want guns to can them. And then what? Then normal people who aren't criminals would have nothing to defend themselves, their property or, most importantly, their family with.
Or were you thinking that EVERY state should have a background check attached to gun sales? Okay, but that wouldn't...
Good job pulling that straight from Marvel's site, by the way. /s
Tell you what? That he's talented or that his voice suits the characters? Because I've completed The Line twice and I can say that I had no problem with him in that. Just because you play as a soldier doesn't mean you have to sound like Marcus Fenix or Captain Price...
... Why can't we punch people through computer screens?
One of the my first two games was Mortal Kombat... Years later, I can happily say I've never killed anyone, nor planned an elaborate murder scheme.... or wanted to pull someone's spine out, use my hat as a saw, or, worst of all, wear sunglasses, tattoo my name on my chest, and be obnoxious.
Just sayin'.
Really? You want Nolan North to not get paid as much? He gets jobs for voice acting because his voice suits the characters (or he changes it to suit them, as he did with Penguin in Arkham City, among others). He's doing what he's paid to do: voice act. And he's one of the best at it.
@Justpassinggas
Actually, yes, every dumbass comment by an American makes me lose hope in America.
But CanadaRocks is full of crap, anyway. Twisted Metal is great, as is 3D Dot Game Heroes. Wonderful games.
I agree with Silent. The force exerted from an exploding grenade would certainly make you at least shake a good bit, even if you are behind of brick wall.
People don't seem to understand, Steam almost has a monopoly on PC gaming. And, as we all know, monopolies are never good. I like Steam, but it worries me when I think about what could happen if it was nothing but Steam.
Not having it on Steam doesn't make Notch greedy, it just means that he has a certain viewpoint on what's dangerous for PC gaming as a whole and has the integrity to stick to it.
I agree. Gay people go on and on about equality, but I have to ask: Where's the straight pride parades? Where the Straight-people-only gaming conventions? I have no problem with someone being gay. I don't approve of it, but I'm not condemning anyone for it, either. However, it just annoys the piss out of me that they feel that because they're different, because they're gay, they need to inject that into every activity they can think of.
I mean, for God'...
