I have to agree with Nirvana. Part of what makes Fallout the series it is is the setting of a 1950's-influenced future, complete with all of the Americana of the mid 20th century. Getting rid of that by putting it in friggin' Tokyo wouldn't work, which is exactly why the series has never gone to any location that isn't in the US (except for Mothership Zeta, but I REALLY don't want to think about that DLC).
Agreed, I saw both his Sleeping Dogs WTF Is... and his Darksiders II WTF Is... and he came to the same conclusion I did: Darksiders II's PC port was slapped together.
Unfortunate, I think, because the game is great.

No, it shouldn't be censored. That's why I didn't censor mine, since he was referencing bird.
It's still a shoddy port. 720p textures are apparent in 1080p, for instance. There's pretty much no graphical options to speak of, mouse acceleration is EXTREMELY different between normal viewing mode and aim mode. There's also the problem where the framerate randomly tanks for a small while on some computers. Some weird d-pad thing has been left over, even when you aren't using a controller.
Then there's just some things that you can tell are things a con...
PC game controllers? You realize you can plug a 360 controller into a PC and it'll work just like normal? And that you can download drivers to allow the use of your DualShock 3 on the PC for it to work, again, JUST LIKE NORMAL?
Got a 6-core Phenom II, 8 gigs of RAM, and a Radeon 6970. Here's hoping that's enough.
With Capcom, it means, "We want to make people pay absurd prices for absurdly little content that's already locked on the disc. Ah, how we love to abuse capitalism."
So, yes, running it into the ground is exactly what it means.
I have to agree with MEsoJD. I play almost all of my games on my PC whilst I leave all the console-exclusive games to my PS3 (that I only touch when I get one of said games). I love that my PC can play some amazing looking games, but I'm not going to sit there and play something that looks good if I think it plays like ass. For instance, Crysis/Crysis 2. Amazing looking games, but otherwise generic from a gameplay standpoint, despite the inclusion of the nanosuit.
Also, w...
RAGE was disappointing for me as I'm a PC gamer. And, even now, that version of the game is still terrible. There's still the texture cache problems, even after the update that allowed you to increase your texture cache. All it does is eat your PC's resources for minimal change. Of course, the general optimization of the game is still horrendous and easily some of the worst I've ever seen.
This is saddening, because the gameplay itself is actually pretty damn...
If you couldn't figure out the language, it would've been a good idea to look at the site's URL. Notice the ".de"? That stands for Deutsche, which is German for, well... German.
The same applies to Spanish speaking sites. ".es" = Español.
And Italian. ".it" = Italiano
Agreed. It's just too awkward to be playing as Fisher without Ironside providing the voice. I'm not doubting this other guy's talent, but there is oen and only one person who can be described as Mr. Sam Fisher and that'd be Ironside.
Also, the thing that I thought Conviction at least nailed was the use of stealth to kill every bastard you saw. It was a fun game for that and it at least could loosely identify it's gameplay as Splinter Cell gameplay because ...
@Laika
I suppose that, when you find him, you certainly could try. However, the game is quite a bit easier if you try to switch between him and Trevor. Then again, Alucard can be cheap and fly over everything provided the have the hearts to support that.
Short answer: No, but for most of it if you do so desire.
I'd just like to point out that Alucard was in Castlevania 3 first. Yeah, I know it's a minor gripe, but this is how I am.
Only in Japan...
Crysis 3? All Crysis 2's multiplayer was was just a straight copy of CoD, except it also used the nanosuits. Halo 4 looks nice, but we certainly haven't seen all that much out of it yet.
Yeah, so I replied because I can't believe you listed Crysis. Crysis as a series is just so unremarkable, I'm not gonna lie. It's a generic shooter for the most part, serving mostly as a tech demonstration.
I'm not gonna lie, the more I hear about these changes from the previous CoD games, the more tempted I am to pick the game up. However, I wanna see how balanced it is first and if some terrible perks (MARTYRDOM, SCREW YOU) are still in there.
I'm going to continue my not-lyingness and say that I played some MW3 on one of Steam's free CoD weekends and thought that it was a fun experience without all of those 360 no-scoping pricks or the legions of campers. Still no...
Award-winning? For what? Mediocrity? Seriously, I HAVE played it and it IS an incredibly standard game. It doesn't deviate at all and the translations are just abysmal.
However, it does have some grittiness to it. Though, it's the kind that was in World at War. So... if you want that kind of grit, go play World at War, not this. :/
Agreed. It's mostly tension, but there's nothing really "scary" about it. Can't figure out why it's so popular.
4 years old? RoboBlitz was the first game to use the engine (Gears of War came out a day later) on November 6, 2006. That's nearing 6 years, not four.
But, yes, it is a good engine. However, CryEngine is still a more powerful engine.
The problem is most likely your processor. Most problems arise because the game doesn't work to work is there's more than a single core. Deactivate the other three cores, restart computer, then see if it works.
PM me if it doesn't. Or even if it does.
As I said in my previous comment, it's the Americana that makes the Fallout setting the Fallout setting.

However, I would say that London is a great place for any other post-apocalyptic game. I don't think Hellgate: London quite utilized the setting to its full potential, however.
