I had Lynx, that thing was awesome considering it was a brick with buttons on it.
So, can't wait for the One to release this summer unexpectedly and months in advance without any information released. Good times.
I find it outrageous that only Nintendo has offered any kind of BC this gen. Every other company just keeps looking for ways to have you spend more money on the exact same thing all over again. Has the idea of value just gone away all together?
It won't be the next Zelda, relax. I have a feeling fans will get their realistic Zelda for WiiU but even if it's not realistic it won't be cel-shaded. I think Metroid could be a good fit for cell shading, I've always felt that series has struggled to find a new direction to go in visually.
Great read, alot of good points here. I've been thinking an industry crash is looming ever since this DLC/microtransaction bruhaha started popping up and even more so when MS announced their since taken back limitations on games. These companies are starting to look for ways to nickel and dime customers in numerous ways while also trying to close their markets so only they can make money of purchases and only they can be the providers of their media i.e. digital stores. With these and the...
I don't remember any of these unfortunately so... does anyone remember Nemo, Adventures in Dreamland (I think thats the name) on NES. There's another game on NES, I don't remember the name but you play as an orange or blue ninja that turn into animals (tigers I think). Or how about Rolling Thunder, that game was a beast back in its day. So good.
I'm on board with this whole list, but I bet all of these things happen all over again. If there's one thing this industry does well its repeat mistakes :p
I couldn't agree more! With a physical copy as long as I have the system I have access. I can't trust these companies to keep track of my purchases if I want to play later (I've already had a PSOne digital game just disappear from my purchases), I don't want my games stored in the cloud where my access could be limited in the future, I definately don't want something I can't trade in or loan out or sell through channels other than ones that are approved, and I definate...
So, does this mean the haystacks are actually litter boxes?
Poor sheep, the farmers had them facing forward at the edge of that cliff for awhile now...
I saw the PS4 box contents article and thought the same thing. It's a game console, I'm pretty sure we all have a pretty good idea what's in the box.
I need these now! And Illusion of Gaia too, I need my raft fish catching russian roulette Nazca body transformation adventures damnitt!
It's hard not to love a game where the apocalypse happens... and that's just the midway point.
This was a pretty funny read, I appreciate any article that reminds me, humor wise, of the 90's game magazines. As far as industry killing practices go I could maybe see it happening. Eventually these companies are going to price their own customers out of the market or make so little available with the main product that few people are going to buy it in the first place. Maybe the industry needs a crash, let the indies rise up and give us some value for our money instead of trying to get ...
And the era of buying achievements begins.
Valkyria Chronicles trancends time, space and top ten lists.
I wish I could say 'I can't believe they held back new characters and levels from the remake to be DLC' but I can believe it. So tired of DLC, this is an especially bad example of it.
It's not just a Sony fan thing, shouldn't you have access to the same content as other players regardless of platform? Watchdogs is getting additional mission content just for being on PS4 and that's just as screwed up as this, maybe even more so since it's multiplatform. A persons choice of platform or avenue of play should offer the same experience but instead levels, abilities and with DR3 a character are getting left out unless you play how or where the company wants you t...
Because it changes the experience for someone that doesn't have a smartphone, because going back and forth between a phone or tablet and the controller is awkward. It's better than it being DLC but these are options that could easily just be in the game and used with the controller instead of being tied to an outside app.
NMH has some technical issues that weren't in the Wii version, like a decent amount of screen tearing. The Move works just as well as the Wiimote so no huge difference there. Between the minor flaws of the PS version and the lack of HD on the Wii version it comes down more to preference (or what system you own) more than anything else :)
