It's not the case, you need the disk now and the family share plan is gone from what I understand but you have to download a patch for all the changes to take affect so my question is if you don't download the patch can the system be used as originally intended. That's all I know, hope it's at least somewhat helpful.
Yea, I'm still holding off until there's more info about Kinect and privacy legislation and such but these changes at least open me up to the idea of owning a One, before it was just a flat NO.
I don't know why your getting disagrees, it's completely true youe get Live for a year if you day one buy it if I remember correctly.
So if you don't download the patch can you use it as was originally intended? This could be a win-win for those that won't accept the DRM and those that were looking forward to these new 'features'.
I've been wondering the same thing, is this just a BS feature that's not needed, how will it affect offline play, will it throw your Xbox on the ground and lots of other questions that someone more important and connected than myself should be asking.
So how do all of these things affect the cloud computing MS has made such a big deal over? If your not online there's no cloud so you can still play the game but itbwon't be as pretty or your game crashes when you bump into something or what? I say the reversal here is a great thing but I still have questions, hopefully there will be answers.
Oh, and by the way the One was way worse in the first place because of YOU, ranting authorman.
I'll pick one up but not at launch. To be fair I'm not getting either at launch but my next gen was going to be Wii U and PS4 eventually with no thought at all given to One but now I can see myself eventually having all three with One being the last I purchase. I still want to see what happens with the kinect camera, privacy legislation and some other concerns before I make a complete decision but now I feel it's at least worth getting excited for some games, most notably D4 and m...
This is a serious game changer for me, I'm still not quite on board with the kinect camera but my major issue was the DRM and it's gone. TIME TO GET EXCITED FOR CRIMSON DRAGON, F@?'!? WOOHOOOO!!!!!!! Oh my, I think my xboner is showing, sorry.
I can't really say I have anyone to share digital stuff with but it's at least nice for those that do. How good or convenient is a digital product if it's less flexible and gives the purchaser less options of what can be done with it?
It's really is a shame more people don't open up to the kinds of games that offer a more fantasy oriented or gameplay and art style based game (the kind of thing alot of gamers grew up with) and instead go for the more real world settings of so many AAA games. I would say from what I've heard GTA this time around seems like it will have the player doing more thinking as far as supplies and how to pull off various crimes than before and if so it seems like it could be a great addit...
All of those Wii U consoles looked alot like Medieval peasants.
Well look at that, just another reason not to but a One. So I can ( soon hopefully) digitally share games, can't wait til I can sell and trade then Steam will have something going on.
But really, how many people that are going to buy GTA V are also in the market for 101 and vice versa? Maybe not the best move but hopefully not a game killer.
I haven't been worried about the 3ds in awhile, its been doing great. The Vita on the other hand has been worrying to say the least, if sales aren't exploding like cars on Mythbusters after the PS4 release that system may unfortunately die the true death.
This seems like a great time to try a new IP instead of making the worst 3ds game F2P.
I've had a decent amount of issues with game bugs as well, it's now a major factor as to whether I'll buy a game new or not. My last problem was with Borderlands 2, I bought itat midnight release and after about a week got hit with a glitch that eliminated all the badass rank I'd accumulated. This along with Skyrim (another game bought at release, PS3) ACIII and an AWFUL mess with Mass Effect 2 freezing and deleting my saves (took 3 tries before I could get through the game) h...
This is.... just awful. Just another reason not to trust anything coming from MS.
Yea, Crimson Dragon looks AWESOME. Have you ever played the Panzer Dragoon games? The one on the old school Xbox is one of the best games on the system.
You can use the dualshock, the analog stick moves your target reticle, but it's no match for aiming with a Move. Without some motion control they're still worth checking out but you may want to rent instead of buy since the experience isn't as good :)
OR studios and publishers can stop bloating out their budgets with ridiculous ad spending and stupid long development times and make money. The movie industry is having the same problem of spending too much and not receiving their money back but well directed movies with smaller budgets make a killing. Spend money wisely and money will always come back to you.
