It seems someone doesn't get that it's supposed to be a game with poor mechanics and quirky outdated gameplay. Even the 'additions' of the directors cut enforce this design. It's not for everyone, that's for sure, but its a game that sticks with its vision and and pulls the player in with its oddball story and unique lead character. What do you think, Zack?
This can be said about almost every company. It's also the reason fast food is bad for the body, why programmers basically have to live at work, why minimum wage in the US doesn't cover living expenses, why electronics are manufactured by Asians that would rather commit suicide than live at work making pennies an hour, why clothing is made in sweatshops in India, etc. Trust me, I KNOW companies only care about one thing and one thing only.
Yea he's definately losing his message. He mentions all the fanboy bruhaha but when it comes to Watch Dogs he doesn't even mention it's coming to WiiU, and he did the same thing when talking to some guy from Ubisoft during E3. I don't need him to be all fanboy over the N or anything but not even acknowledging a platform is bad journalism and plays into the very fanboy mentality he talks so much about hating.
Anyone else starting to think the people that work (in his case formerly) in this industry have become WAY disconnected from their user base? So many people in the industry just seem to have a mentality that goes against the ideas of their base.
I miss the days when people in the industry didn't have a voice in the media, it was better for the industry and the customer. Xbox, turn Randy off.
*sigh*
And thank you for doing so good sir! :)
This and Crimson Dragon are so far the only games that have really caught my attention, and I wouldn't care about D4 at all but I LOVE Deadly Premonition so anything from Swery is worth a look. What do you think Zack?
Movies, not so much. A 6 or 12 part movie quality series of episodes could do games much more justice though, more time for character development and larger plots are usually what's missing from these movies and could be obtained simply by having more time to lay everything out.
So what's the point of these consoles again? Who is clamouring for google or apple to release dedicated gaming systems? How many times can the gaming market be split before it becomes near impossible to make a profit? These companies need to find something better to do.
It's free, it makes sense to at least download it to try it out. Now how many people actually care to use it, especially for their gaming, is the question...
The rapid fire internet age has made misinformation king, why wasn't this announced right after stories came out saying it wouldn't be included? I should be a game journalist, getting paid to make s!?@ up sounds fun and easy...
Yea I thought Fable III was the best out of the fable games, but I'm not a gold member and it's not like it or anything else on offer so far is going to change that especially since MS seems intent on screwing up even the GOOD things they've been trying to do.
And the MS derping continues...
“and to kick off that program I’d like to share just two of the titles we’re going to offer over the next few months – Assassin’s Creed two, and Halo three”
Well look at that, what a verbal magician!
Too bad people hate magicians.
I looked at the bank draft and realized my life was a waste and started posting links in forums to BS schemes so someone else could make money off the ignorance of others and myself! Try today! :/
Oh memory cards! I rented Grandia (a two disc rpg) from a store right after picking up a PS one but not before getting a memory card. I played the game all the way to the end of the first disc without one and left the system on whike I went to the store to go pick up a card. When I got back the system had somehow lost power, 40 hours gone. So with card in PS I started all over again. 40 hours later with data saved I went to switch disc and.... the 2nd disc was so scratched up it wouldn't ...
I tend to only get what I come across through just playing the game. I've never cared about achievements because I play for fun, for stories and for relaxation. If achievements are what adds to the longevity of a game that just means the game wasn't good enough on its own to make you want to keep playing.
@jimmywolf
It's about context. This kid didn't walk into a school saying this, draw up plans and schemaics for a plot, etc. It was a sarcastic response to being called a psycho.

Ok, I'm guessing you are the reviewer so let me start by saying your review IS completely fair, there's a reason this has been the most polarizing games of this generation and you touched on pretty much all of them in this review.
That being said I'll start by saying you and Swery are, from what I can tell, two sides of the same coin. You are into cult style Asian culture while Swery is into American cult culture and this is the angle the game is designed from. The mentio...
