Bring to PS or WiiU! The screenshots don't give much to go on but with a Fatal Frame inpiration it could be good. I'll have to keep an eye out for this one!

It's nice to see a perspective that doesn't treat customers like thieves even if they do buy the game. I say if you buy a game new you should get all the DLC that comes out afterwards free, or for a HEAVILY discounted price and if you buy used you pay the kind of rates you do now. Rewarding people for support will ALWAYS work better than forcing people into less value for the same price.

I appreciate any company that's willing to admit its mistakes instead of saying something along the lines of ' we were right it's just no one understands' Thanks for keeping it real and taking responsibility like a big boy N, just get the games coming and you'll get my money.

"An always-online console, or at least a disc-free console, stymies piracy, sure, but more importantly, it rewards complete control of the marketplace to the console maker. Sony and Microsoft can cut out the stores, the distributors, the delivery trucks, the stocking warehouses and every other middleman that takes its part of a games profit. The heads of these companies have seen the billion-dollar success of Apple's closed marketplace on iOS, and they will find a way to emulate it.&...

This is something I've never understood either, I would think digital rental would be the way to go for publishers to make more off their games. Being that it would be digital though I could see it being way more expensive than it should be, but my basis for that is coming from the price of digital movie rental (3.99 to 5.99 for one day? GTFO) but if the price point was right they could make some good money and provide a great service. It would also help people that tend not to deal with ...

There will be some new IP's it's just more about when than if. The Wonderful 101 seems like the best purchase if your looking for something new and Bayonetta 2 is looking just as sweet as the first one so there's a couple of options coming.

I'm starting to feel like the Asari race from Mass Effect is what our society is becoming. Lots of legal and too many loopholes for the people writing up the contracts.

So shouldn't this same logic be used for games as well? All your doing when you pre order a game is buying the idea of what the game and trusting that it comes out the way you want (and probably getting some dlc that should be in the game in the first damn place). I like what Sess is saying here I just think the notion should be expanded outside of just consoles.

That was a wonderful and very thorough article, I don't know why you have so many disagrees. Thanks for the link!

The camera is now my biggest concern with One as well, I'll be waiting and watching to see how the situation with privacy legislation and how the camera winds up being used in general. I'm at least more open to the idea of of a One now but like I said there's still too many questions and not enough answers I can trust. PS4 is still looking like the future machine for me!

So consider this my “Ian rant.”
That's where I got Ian from, sorry for getting your name wrong. And of course your allowed to be upset, I just feel the arguement for these things is short sighted. Your article is well written though, it's a good read regardless of whether I agree with the content. I appreciate the response, hopefully if or when I read another article from your site I won't get the authors name wrong in my comment :). And seriously the future of digital a...

I can't take anything seriously from a store called DickSmiths. Good deal though, if your in NZ you should snag one up and prepare for The Wonderful 101.

I love how Mr. author Ian blames the old generation gamers for ruining his dream machine. Ian, if your reading this I want you to know your idea of change is right, but it wouldn't work for millions of people at this moment and your bright future would be many other peoples dark present. The future you want will happen but if it happened at this point of time it would disinclude so many people from being able to play even if they were to drop the money for an One. In short, your viewpoint...

Even when MS does something good they have to sound like dicks about it.

Although an interesting read and possible I don't think this is the case. If this were true why would a day one patch be necessary?

I was under the impression that it wasn't just the used games but the need more an internet connection and kinect as well.

Yea the One just lost half of the 'features' that damn near the entirety of the world hated. Boohoo, if you don't like use Steam and STFU.
