How many more times can we argue about this? Don't articles like these bore you guys as much as me?
The only thing that someone needs to explain to me is this:
1) What can Microsoft add to the 720 to make it a better value than the PlayStation 3 while maintaining the same market price?
When there's an article debating that, i'll be back. Until then, back to my Killzone 2 demo :)
I'm sure most of you haven't seen me post here, or haven't played any games with me, or don't have a clue who I even am, but I don't give a damn. I've been watching this s***y movie (The Ruins) and while attemping to keep focus I found myself on my iPhone reading some of these ridiculous articles coming back and forth from a site where I expect one thing, NEWS FOR GAMERS.
I've never listend or watched the HHG show. Hell judging from my response I don't know if it's even a Podca...
Because he revealed the Killzone 2 Super Bowl Commercial...
Right?
Try actually caring about game journalism instead of getting hits on your site.
1) People are complaining that it's short, when it was in Sony/Guerilla's best interest to give the Public the shortest demo possible. You give people more, they want less and sales will suffer.
2) Control Scheme - Which I honestly didn't think was terrible. L1's melee and R3's Scope could be switched around, but I could definetly get used to it after a few hours into the campaign.
3) Dieing - Maybe people are just too used to COD, Resistance, or Socom, but I t...
It was crap in October when it launched, it's decent now - and in a few months time the game will be good, possibly great. It all depends on how hard Slant Six is pushing out additional maps and features.
Think of it in comparisson to the Playstation 3 when it first launched. I was a launch owner and if you compare the system now to when it first hit the market, it's completely different.
Socom, like the PlayStation 3, will evolve and get better with time. Plus i...
Sony has a sense of humor too...
Anyone else remember the "In-Shirt XMB" t-shirts they gave out at GDC last year? I mean c'mon...They know what's funny.
P.S. I would've wanted a more serious commercial, but I think it's great. I mean it's a Super Bowl Ad. The percentage of gamers watching the Super Bowl as opposed to sports fanatics will be slim.
Guess we'll find out Sunday
Go Cardinals!
-----> Geat respone, I couldn't have said it better. Bubbles
I know half the people on here will disagree with me, so check my comment history to see that I indeed do love my PlayStation 3, or loved.
My 2nd PS3 died just last week...
I was playing Socom and my system shut down abruptly...No power down, no screen freeze, everything shut completely off and I was left with the Red Power Button blinking. When I attempted to turn my system back on, it powered up but the Green Light (Power), went to Yellow, and blinking Red once...
Being as I'm a Socom-Fanatic, I'm very happy there's finally an official date, but there's still no denying that we should have had every one of these features on October 14th. When the game launched...
But god damn this makes for a good weekend
And this is the reason why they will be wrong.
As much as people doubt it will happen, Third Party Devs WILL support Home and if EA is willing to, anyone is. IMO Home was never a product you'll want to boot up everytime you turn on your PlayStation 3, but somthing to check out a couple times a week to see what and whom is new.
Wait till the Trophy Lobby is added amongst other things.
Especially with a minimum of 40 hours Per Week (Plus I work at a Stone Quarry), let alone other priorities...
10 Hours + Multiplayer + Socom Confrontation = My agenda post 3PM from Feb 27th On
Are you kidding me?
I don't know what you read and/or heard but I've been listening to 1UP Yours since it first started in (2004?) and Shane's been nothing but optimistic for Sony and it's console.
If I were you I'd download some of the podcasts leading up to the PlayStation 3's launch and see just how arrogant Garnett and Luke Smith (Who I loved even though he's a prick) acted towards him while Shane was one of the few at the time who stood up for it. He's not j...
I LOVE Ghostbusters, don't get me wrong, but an additional $10.00 for pretty much one new HD feature?
I just picked up The Dark Knight and Pineapple Express on Blu Ray both for under 30, and a movie from 1989 cost this much?
Fortunetly (or Unfortunetly) I have a knack for needing things on day 1, no matter what the price, so looks like I'll have to dedicate at least one day to nothing but Ghostbusters.
Now any news on Ghostbusters II?
The fact that Sony could provide PlayStation 3 owners with so much more based purely off titles that already exist now that Home is out. The way I see it:
1) Home can be updated on a weekly/monthly basis for rooms based off of any game or genre. Not only would this get people to come back to Home but maybe the inexperienced owners who have not yet dived into it. Add more support with major game releases in 2009 (Killzone, Uncharted, etc) and it's a win-win
2) Mor...
I didn't even realize Mark Hamil voiced the Joker in the WB series until I bought Season 1 a few months back, and that gives me a little more faith that this might be the first Batman game I may be interested in buying since Batman Returns for my Genesis...
Hopefully things only get better from here
It's nice that their taking the time to implement all these features, but I'm running low on patience...I've been around since the first installment in the franchise and as well as Slant Six has done in recent weeks, the game should NOT have shipped as early as it did...
With that said, 1.30 needs to launch before Christmas or I'll be moving on to different titles. Resistance, LittleBigPlanet and Bioshock have all been collecting dust for about a month or two now, so hurry up a...
No...
More like "in part due to the choice of making it exclusive to the first next-gen console that entered the race (or started it).
Make no mistake about it, GoW2 is a good game, but it's not great, not as good as the first, and if you think Microsofts early install base has nothing to do with those numbers your insane.
And why not make it multiplat? If the game is a centered launch title on the '720' or whatever Microsoft chooses to name i...
I thought the Playstation 3 version was cancelled, hence X360.ign.com?
Or am I not in the PS3 section of N4G? I swear I was...
"this article is stating that 360 has the edge in being more successful than the ps3, isnt that pretty damn interesting?"
- No. It's not, only because we've seen this article 6 times a week, for every week since November 16th 2006. It's one thing to talk about Microsoft's success and Sony's failures then, but both consoles sold the exact same amount last year, with one being $100 more expensive. Developers have been supporting the PS3 more and will continue to do so,...
