The loss of exclusiveness for L.A. Noire has been talked about since last year before E3 '08. Why are people surprised now?
After the success of GTA, why wouldn't they want to take it multiplat...Anyways, I haven't really heard much about this game in ahwile, and don't really care until I do.
The only thing I'm looking forward to from Rockstar is Red Dead and maybe the new Max Payne
It needs a much deeper ranking system and more maps. That should be priority over Co-Op. I haven't played Killzone 2 in about 3 weeks and that would be the perfect add-on to put off Socom and Fallout 3 and get right back into the madness.
Online Co-Op would be big too.

2) LOTR Trilogy
3) HBO Original Series (Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Oz, The Wire, etc)
Last I heard Lucas was working on releasing the Saga in 3-D. I'll pass. Give me Blu!
Nothing more. It doesn't even have a tie in to the survey that I was talking about (which there are others in the M.A.G. board).
As for paying, I just don't think Sony will, and if they do, it means they know for a fact M.A.G. is a game that will deliver. With the backlash and criticism they took after the PS3 launched, I doubt they'd release a pay-to-play title that wouldn't live up to the hype, especially when a free PSN is one of their main selling points.
Has there been any official announcement regarding paying to play on any of those titles you listed?
Because all I've heard of were surveys, nothing more..

You don't see veterans going after film makers because they try to re-enact their story as true as possible, they don't think game developers do the same?
And where were these arguments during the early Medal of Honor and Call of Duty titles?

I was thinking about that the other day, that maybe M.A.G will impliment both a FPS/TPS camera angle for the users choice, seeing how Zipper's been pretty hush about the screens, but I came to the conclusion that it would be completely one-sided.
True, maybe some people are just better in First Person, but players using Third Person will always have the advantage of being able to see out of their peripheral vision, let alone behind corners.
Am I the only one who's missing some features from my Killzone 2 copy? Killzone 2 isn't as deep as most people think...
I reached the top rank of General in 3 days and unlocked almost all of my Medals/Ribbons in that same span (all are completed now). Correct me if I'm wrong but that leaves one thing and one thing only, the Clan Valor System, which is a great feature, it's just not enough.
GG should patch the game with a more robust ranking system.
No one knows anything about whether or not it will play FPS or TPS. All we've seen are screenshots with a few of them in the FPS view. You gotta remember though in Socom I & II before you zoomed into your scope the camera went First Person.
I have full faith in Zipper but I do want more info. Hopefully before E3! June seems so far away..
Confrontation is an Online only game, so obviously it's going to have more features/upside to the online portion of the comparison.

Killzone 2 > Confrontation - Overall Value
I'd give the edge to Killzone 2 online if they had a more robust ranking system, but it lacks depth. Ribbons, Medals and the Valor system can't pick up the slack for everything...

In fact I don't think we'll see a lot of SE except for FFXIII and maybe some Versus news. Release dates probably.
I also think Sony will announce Kojima's next project (which I think will still be PS3 exclsuive, Metal Gear or not) instead of Team ICO's title.
I believe both KH3 and ICO will be announced at TGS. Sony has a ton of stuff already in store for E3:
1) God of War 3
2) M.A.G.
3) Ratchet & Clank...
Were and are great titles.
What excites me is Sony's new Gretzky NHL title. I haven't heard anything on it in a long while, but it'll be interesting to see how it stacks up against NHL 09 - which is the best Hockey game I've ever played.
I'll gladly give them a chance at other sports though, just not the NBA. That needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
What Sony showed off at GDC '07 was more of a prototype. They used the presentation to show what Home was capable of. It wasn't until 2009 that Sony made trophies mandatory, so there wasn't any need for it in Home.
They'll update it this year. We've already seen strides been made in terms of Game Rooms and the new Xi puzzle. It's only a matter of time.
It's not like we (the people who forwent the campaign) didn't play at all. I played everyday for close to a solid year. In fact in terms of enjoyment I thought COD4 was the closest experience to SOCOM II (My all-time favorite game) that I've had, and that's saying somthing. Funny thing is I never touched the SOCOM II campaign either...

Since we saw OnLive at GDC the idea of Cloud Gaming is real F'n cool but it's also surrounded by ton's of questionmarks.
I'm fine with Sony going forward with it as long as they don't rush the development cycle and launch it at full capacity. I'd rather have my hands on it in 10 years running perfectly smooth than 5 years with ton's of issues.

One of my good friends who gave up on gaming about 5-6 years ago called me up today saying he bought a PlayStation 3. I didn't believe him of course, but sure enough, logged on and there he was.
I knew he was thinking about the big 3 (Wii, 360, etc) and when I asked him he said "The PlayStation 3's games have way more quality to them than the others".
