I`m sure you`ll enjoy it. My complaint isn`t that the game is terrible, but the fact that the series isn`t really evolving.
Well, this is my opinion on a demo, so don`t drop the flop bomb just yet. I`m sure it will be an enjoyable game overall, but it`s not the step forward that the series needs.
It may be worth your time if you can find it for a reasonable price, and you enjoy hilariously bad dialoge.
I agree with most of what you said. Based on what I've heard on the internet and from simple word of mouth, I assumed that Alone in the Dark: Inferno would be terrible even with the mentioned improvements. However, after playing through the demo a couple of times, I realized that it's a decent playable demo, and that the full game will probably be decent as well.
I stand by my statements on the graphics, though. Sure, they are more visually appealing than Grand Theft Auto 4, bu...
I thought it was garbage on my initial playthough as well, but it's really not that bad. I wonder how much the driving portions are improved for the PS3 version, because I didn't have too much trouble driving at all. I can see the lack of mid-way checkpoints driving people insane in the 360 version.
If the title were "Alone in the Dark Demo Impressions", none of these complaints would have been made. Next time I write an article about a demo, I'll make sure not to put review in the title. lol
I see how the "review" of the demo seems a bit silly now. By the time I got around to submitting it, the IGN review as well as others was already out. This article just expresses my thoughts on the demo.
I disagree with you about the 360 having the superior version of Grand Theft Auto 4, but you are right about Eternal Sonata. Gamespot gave the PS3 and 360 versions the same score, an 8.5, but IGN gave the PS3 version an 8.7, whereas the 360 version got an 8.3.
That video makes a compelling argument.
This is getting nuts. I haven`t seen so many amazing games to buy in so long. It`s like a gamer-overload. I can`t handle it. I don`t have the money! lol, Resistance 2 wasn`t even on my list, but now it`s way up there. It looks great. Much better than I thought it would. Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, LittleBigPlanet, Dead Space, Fallout 3, Sonic Unleashed, Valkyria Chronicles, and I`m sure I missing a few, but that`s just off the top of my head.
I would love some sort of open world game filled with zombies. In fact, it would probably be one of the open world games I could get excited about. Saints Row 2 looks fun, but I had my fill with Grand Theft Auto 4. It just didn't appeal to me very much, but the idea of being in the middle of one of those massive scale zombie invasions would be fun. I would play zombie sniper high atop a building. It's my dream.
When SquareEnix can no longer make a profit off of the Final Fantasy name, the games will stop. I don't see that happening anytime soon, so I expect the series to continue for quite some time.
There is no need to flame. You don't like anime, or turn based JRPGs. I'll survive. I still enjoy both.
Well, I know I buy all of my multiplatform games for the PS3. I keep my 360 around for exclusives.
If you're not joking, I agree. My only worry is that she may be a little fishy. :(
I'm not claiming to have a massive pair of hands, but I never had a problem with the XBOX 1 controller. It's like the 360 controller, except way bigger. My girlfriend has super tiny lady hands, and she didn't like the controller, though.
This is a silly article. I think this guy is confusing 2D with sidescrolling. I like a good sidescroller myself. LittleBigPlanet is on my must have list, but to altogether throw away 3D gaming is silly. Metal Gear Solid 4 in 2D would be a joke, and to answer his question, no, I didn't get bored in Super Mario 64.
The screensaver isn't anything eye catching. It just darkens the screen a bit. I believe that's the only one, right?
I just don't think there are enough SEGA fanboys to support another console. SEGA as a third party developer/publisher is fine with me.
Let the fanboy war begin! The 360 has the best verion of Legendary, an obvious contender for game of the year!
Honestly, a 2.3, and a 2.5. I wasn`t expecting it to be that bad. I predicted a 7.
