In my opinion, Silent Hill is the best film adaptation of a video game. It really had the same mood as the games. Alone in the Darks' film adaptation hurt me. What the hell was that? It was a bad Resident Evil clone that just brought pain to my eyes. Alone in the Dark 2 is probably going to be equally as horrible. The only system I own, besides a PS2, is an Xbox 360. I had mine for 2 years, and I just got the RROD a month or so ago.(it's still out for repairs, I'm dying) I think it's entirely possible that every single Xbox 360 besides the Elite possibly can get the RROD. The platforming segments of this game look like the most enjoyable part. I'm sure it's only an early build, but the shooting didn't look like anything amazing. Everyone has their own opinion, but from what I've seen from that demo, this game looks like it will be pretty good. You can tell that there is very little hype for this game. Most people haven't heard of it. I've been watching it's development for a few months. This game might just suprise alot of people and be a very enjoyable FPS. It looks like this game might be more of an action RPG which I prefer to your standard turn based RPGs. I'm suprised that this isn't a very hot story. The game looks pretty good in my opinion. Like the person above me asked, I wonder if this game will be out before Final Fantasy 13 as well?
I haven't been too hyped about Halo 3 for the simple fact that I won't have my 360 back for another few weeks.(it's out for repairs..RROD!!) I doubt that he was trying to buy another 360, though, unless he's a gambling man. He wanted a PS3, as I do.
Either you care about them, or you don't, but I don't see achievements as being negative in any way. I'm not the most hardcore of hardcore gamers, but I consider myself a gamer. I have roughly 10,000 Gamer Points. Achievements motivate me to become a better player. I actually play and complete games on their most difficult setting! It's unbelievable! lol Last generation, I would settle for normal, and stop caring. I would usually sell my games after completion.

I want a Nintendo Wii, but those screen shots injured my brain. It's almost as if the developers of that game are developing a game in 1998. Those screen shots aren't even Gamecube quality. I didn't need to see that. I know the Wii isn't about great graphics, but this game is getting out of hand. No need to release it, no one will buy this. I still want a Wii. I like the whole gameplay over graphics concept, but not in this instance.
I played Rachet 1 & 2 I believe..I've never heard of Gladiator. I enjoy platforming games, and I think that this new Rachet game will be very enjoyable. ..The first shot seems to be gameplay, because of the menu at the bottom of the screen, and the second shot looks like it's probably a cutscene. As for the third, not really too sure, but it's probably an in game cutscene.
I believe there are some games that you just can't mess up too badly, regardless of which new direction you take them. While some fans of the series may be upset, they can't say that it's a horrible game. Example: Final Fantasy 12.
