Metal Gear Solid 1,2 and 3 remake definitely. MGS4 still looks and plays wonderfully even by today's standards, so a whole remake would not be needed.
Done the poll. Horizon:Zero Dawn, Nioh and Persona 5 were my picks for most of the categories.
2018 games i am looking forward to are God of War, Pillars of Eternity II and ofc Death Stranding.
God, i really need to play Yakuza games...
Oh, the sequel is pretty much a given, judging from the developers statements on Twitter.
The only thing that is questionable is whether or not Alloy will be the main protagonist.

"Sony wants to control ip's....I'd like to see her get away from EA and big studios like Naughty Dog and become more independant."
I guess a lot of people in game-development business dream about working in high-quality studios like Naughty Dog for no reason at all? And Sony is many things, but no way in hell does it control its developers freedom.
The Wolf Among us Season 1 was the only TT game i genuinely cared about playing after The Walking Dead Season 1.
So yea, looking forward for season 2 with Bigby!
Almost every game, especially in the 'souls' games and Bloodborne (mostly because of possibility of ambushes and simply looking bad-ass).
This is why i love Cory..... BaLrog ^^
Indeed, the sluggish controls need more work aswell, and they should really work on difficulty scaling. Everything post level 5-7, was a cake walk on DM (yes even with enemy upscaling ON, no usage of alchemy, no usage of signs...hell even tried playing thru the game with only the starting gear, and it still was unchallenging).
Just like late-2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017...

"Then actually give your definition rather than using it as a way to lump empty praise onto a game. "
(in-short) Most games on the "generation-defining" ; ; ; list are because of positive reasons; they became definitive purely through their 'high quality' and not purely on their 'popularity'.
"I would define a game as generation-defining if it manages to start a trend."

"the only thing generation defining with KZ2 was defining how to pretend a pre rendered tech demo was in game graphics.
The game was good, but that’s the most remembered thing from it"
Your opinion on what generation-defining things KZ2 brought aside, maybe the game simply was not your cup of tea. As for the pre-rendered tech demo, the retail game came quite close to that and as KZ3 demonstrated it was possible to achieve th...

"So you guys are more than willing to defend the Killzone series and even go on to say it's generation defining, but will completely brush aside Zelda titles?
Seriously? Wow."
Aside from fanboy comments, no one is brushing aside Zelda titles (besides from Twilight Princess which is universally disliked by the hardcore fans and newcomers alike), people just expressed that most of these tittles aside from ...
@TekoIie
"A generation-defining game would be something Like Call of Duty 4 or Dota 2/League Of Legends. Killzone didn't really inspire much outside of its own series."
We obviously have a completely different definition of "generation-defining game".
@LordoftheCritics
"You mean Guerilla Games FINALLY released a good game? "
GG developed one generation-defining game known as Killzone 2, aswell as Killzone 3 which was also quite close to achieving the same masterpiece quality as the KZ2 but fallen a bit short in some areas.
Killzone 1 and Killzone:Shadow Fall however, were somewhat mediocre.
As far as graphics, game setting and core gameplay elements go they did the best job in comparison to the competition in 2017, so i am not overly concerned about those things that will appear in the inevitable sequel.
However side-quest need more quality (look at Witcher 3 for reference), facial animations need more work and overall narrative (character development) could use more polish.
In any case, Horizon:Zero Dawn is an impressive feat, considering i...
Nier is not a new IP. The first game was released back in 2010.
@badz149
Why should i concern myself about Nintendo/Sony fanboys(not fans) waging war about trivial things? And as far as i known Ocarina only had ports and remasters but never a proper *remake*.
Ocarina of time remake...would buy it in a heartbeat. Still my favorite Nintedo and Zelda game.
Graphics alone don't sell games, but they are one of the main elements that do.
