This whole Stellar Blade thing is the single most idiotic thint thar has happened in gaming in years. It really shows how frail gamer snowflakes really are. Basically launched by a couple of comments from one of the guys from Digital Foundry. He said his opinion in a podcast and gamers got butthurt and the thing snowballed. It's stupid and embarrasing to witness.

I just get the impression that lots of people were dissapointed. They kinda removed the one thing that gave their games appeal, leaving you with just the jank.
I'm sure there are tons of fans, but it's one of the more contentious releases from Bethesda (still mixed reviews on steam). I'm sure Fallout 76 also have fans, but no one would claim it was a fan favorite.
I think to some people this doesn't matter. xbox won, Starfield is game of the decade.
Super Mario Wonder or Zelda would probably ruin the story.
But it needs to make money. We'll never know if it did. But maybe a lot of people just paid for 1 month of gamepass and that was that. I'm glad I didn't pay, never want to play it again. By far the worst Bethesda rpg.
Everybody would want to play it, as everyone played Skyrim. But that doesn't mean it'll have staying power. I don't believe it will have as strong legs as Skyrim had.
Agreed. The amount of great games released each year is staggering and it's almost overwhelming and has been like this for quite a long time.
And Bioshock 2 is the besr Bioshock. Play System Shock 2 next! aif you haven't allready.

Might be because older games are more widely available than they've been in the past. It's very easy to get access to a lot of great games that you probably never played before. And older games and rereleases are usually cheap.
It has Microstransactions, so must be the worst game ever.
Dragons Dogma 2 is also a masterpiece. So wr are eating good these days!
BG3 was actually designed around microtransactions. Game has gold, they could have sold that, but forgot to. Proof exist.
The game is designed exactly like that. But they threw in some useluss stuff anyway, stuff that would normally be a preorder bonus.
Unless you think buying 1 out of 11 available port crystals is a sign that they designed around it. Really need that 2 bucks from a tiny amount of players.

Tbf, nobody really complains about those guys. It's only an outrage if the game has performance issues on pc. People are willing to eat up a much worse as long as they like the game. Also, no one is talking about Helldivers 2 for some reason.
And if the current xbox gets Epic store, you will probably only be able to play games allready ported to xbox. Unless they have some magic software that can solve the porting issue.
This would also be kinda cool, because there would be more competetion on digital sales. But I think a lot of people dream of other things when they hear "Epic or Steam on xbox".
They would only be noteworthy if it was a new concept.
I get that people want to fight back, just a little weird that this is the hill we are going to die on out of all the possible hills in the gaming world.
They haven't done much that haven't been done constantly for the past 15 years. I Fail to see how this is suddenly a bridge too far. It was always stupid, but it's so common that it seems odd to be offended when a game like this shows up, where the mtx is totally useless and barely advertised. Meanwhile other games get away with having pop ups and dedidcated in-game menues filled with this stuff.

I'm not sure better hardware is what we need. We keep moving forward, budgets increase exponentially while we are seeing diminishing returns in visuals. Performance seems to stay the same even when we double the hardware. Would be more reasonable to slow down and just use what we have and learn how to make the best of it for a moment. A pro probably won't lead to steady fps and all that, scope just increases leaving us where we started.
I don't think it would neccesarily mean that. If they raise prices too much, people will stop buying. They still need to deliver a good product. People will probably just migrate to nintendo or pc, or a new company will step up and fill the (very minimal) void left by xbox.
A little dissapointed by the demo. It seems goof, but was hoping for something more in the vein of DMC, but it's more of a souls like. Feels like a game where you should be able to use longer combos. Hope the skilltree fixes this in a satisfying way.
