I like DS 2, might even be my favorite of the 3. But it's a hard sell, there's so many obscure things you need to do to make it an enjoyable experience. So always find it hard to recommend, but it is worth the trouble.
The game is pretty slow paced. You will rarely be driving fast and reacting fast. Though I guess you can potentially upgrade the engine, so might change later on.

While I do like Remake, you are not wrong. It was a frustrating trip through the game with many baffling decisions. But also very fun to play and did have cool moments.
And after they completely jumped the shark in the end, I'm a little more open to the changes down the line. Now that it's obviously a new game and not a remake.
Didn't notice the 30 fps, but didn't notice the 4k either.
I don't think the people making pc support are the same that develop the games. But what do I know.
@CrimsonWing69
Yeah, I agree. While I appreaciate DS remake, A fourth game would have been cooler, then they could have thrown a quick collection of ports together to supplement.
It's not like MS has been securing third party deals near monthly in years by now.
Think it's mostly in relation to their internal studios. But they seem to fill the gaps with third party deals, so they'll be fine. Probably just need some time to pivot back from their live service pivot.
I like how the new controls work. They are more accesible but works within the rules of the game.
Something people don't realize is that if you hold jump, Lara always jumps from the edge, making things a lot easier. And you can't fall over an edge if you walk
They always say that they will bring their games to as many people as possible, which means PC and Xbox in Spencer lingo.
Whoo, I am part of a statistic. I'm making sure not to apply to any studio under Embracer, for now.
They did release the psp top down shooter a while back. So it's not completely forgotten.
I don't think they intend to match the tone. Both Sh 1 and Sh 2 mix a lot of purple into the fog, atleast in daytime, giving it that distinctly Silent Hill 1-2 look. Remake has shown similar scenes where they are obviously going for the standard green horror tint that you see everywhere.
And they've completely ditched the grain, going for a very clean and neat look instead of the disgusting grime of Sh2.
Hope it means they add some grime to the game. All we have seen look waaaay to clean and nice compared to the original.
Everyone hated the rts sections or what?
I love Pkimin 4, but wish they'd lean more into the rts aspects of the game. Would be interesting if you were using pikmin to gather resources and building stuff. Wouldn't mind if it strayed a iittle bit away from the cozy game territory. Atleast in spin-off.
@Barlos
They do own some power houses of crpg games in Inxile, Obsidian and Bethesda. It's just that, none of them has released any rpg bangers since they went first party. So maybe one day it will be true.
What else should they be playing? And it might say bad things about Forzas performance. One would think that a Forza reboot could top the xbox charts.
I was letdown by both and stopped playing a long time ago. Luckily I never bought any of them. Was some ofnthe bigger dissapointments for me in 2023.
It is possible for people to buy and play a game after release.
VII won't conclude before atleast 2028, seems a bit early to dream of more remakes allready.
