Giantbomb has been posting the Top 10's from game developers all over the spectrum. If you don't like this one, check out the top 10's for Brad Muir, Erik Wolpaw, and even Ed Freakin' Boon. Is your Game of the Year program this classy? Yeah brosef, I didn't think so.
Sure, okay... this video's old, but I'm glad PBG's getting a little attention nonetheless.
You all know that different games have different sites reporting on them, right? And not every site rates every game? And multiplatform titles have different people reviewing them if you're talking about platform-exclusive sites? And they're people, not robots, so their scores will differ?
Good, so why are we having this conversation? Metacritic is an aggregator, not the absolute measure it sells itself as; and this is coming from a PS3 gamer who's kinda half-smi...
Sigh. My butt has longer lasting battery power than my 3DS. Still on the fence about buying another portable system, though - the two games I'm really interested in are a port with a couple of additions (Katamari) and a game that really could be an iOS game with a little tweaking, but money said otherwise (Sound Shapes).
I don't want a portable home console, I want innovation. With the 3DS investment, I lost on that one, and I don't see anything too different wit...
Get Dungeons of Dredmor if you haven't already! $1.25 for it!
You do know that this is a comment thread about the article above, right? Because Edge just gave a Nintendo game GOTY over two multiplatform titles. I have no clue why you'd worry about PS3 v. 360 here - were you expecting UC3 to win?
I'm wondering why n4g readers in general don't see management issues as a huge red flag. Everyone's all "Ohhh, this game's not going to be like MGS used to be! Fire and brimstone upon the world of gaming!"
Seriously, you're not more worried that the lead team at Kojima Productions can't collaborate on a basic level when asked to do so? Koji had better shake things up there, or MGS5 and whatever you want to come back about the Metal Gear serie...
Bushido Blade Solid! Make it so, KojimaSquareEnixBandaiValveetc ...
This is absolutely not the Metal Gear you're used to, I agree! I'm looking forward to it immensely!
I mean, come on - did you want it to be that awkward thing they previewed at e3 way back? I didn't - I wouldn't go near that crap. This looks like a souped-up, jagged-edge Bayonetta followup, I *loved* the gameplay and production values in Bayonetta... so this should be good!
No, I'm not hiding in a cardboard box, but this is a different g...
Dudes, if you want to play an awesome game, buy TES V on whatever console you have. If you have both, it's a toss-up between better visuals on the 360 and better loading times on the PS3.
If you want the best-looking version, and you have a souped-up PC, get the PC version. If you have way too much time on your hands and want to rant and rave about SSAO and RGB, go upgrade your PC and get something better out of this. Plus, you'll have tons of mods at your fingertips...
It's a Bro-Down!
"I respect you, bro!!"
So, on PS3, the camera and game are always in slightly different places than the 360 version? That's all I picked up from this article - thanks a bunch, NowGamer.
I've got the PS3 version, and things look so good that I'd love to see how it looks on a souped-up PC. That water in the first non-prologue town I went to, man!
"You can bet your bottom filler." LOL
I'll see your bottom filler and raise you twenty more!
Angry Joe's alright, and he's getting better, but he's not a business-liaison reviewer the way the paid professionals at IGN are forced to be. He's just a dude with a ton of dough (how else does he have the time and resources for those effects and costumes?) who acts out his wildest superhero fantasies (that are safe for work) and reviews some games, a small amount, with his own unabashed opinion, usually on video. That's fine - he isn't "accurate," what the...
I mostly agree, Death, but DaTruth has a point. Microsoft is basically playing "IP hog" with the MechWarrior franchise. If they thought it would sell, MS would have funded the project to the point that Piranha wouldn't have to worry about extending their market with a PS3 version, but they didn't. They just restricted Piranha from doing stuff while sitting on the IP. Which is sad, but perfectly legal and, in a way, "fair."
My immediate response? &...
A bigger world-related thing like that is most likely Capcom's call, Heishiro, they still have control over the IP. I'm guessing they're either thinking that this will be so different that DMC fans will cry foul, or they're unsure if they really want this game to be canon based on its quality...
MGS stealth *in* Skyrim. You find a cardboard box as one of your first items...
It's awesome. To me, it's a completely different kind of experience, even though the gameplay is similar to its predecessor, with the whole open world thing.
Dark Souls basically has a hyper-world as opposed to Skyrim - in Dark Souls, there isn't as much land, but something's always either happening or going to happen in a space, you only get what's important. In Skyrim, there will be stretches of just traveling, but plenty more land to explore. I'm e...
War of GodCraft!
We're playing the heck out of this game on PS3, but holy cats, I can't read the UI text at all. The Gothic font's cool-looking, sure, but would it hurt to have an option to make it bigger? Accessibility, Bethesda, come on!
Honestly, that's all I have a problem with. Sure, the skills screen is useless from a pragmatic viewpoint, but it's so darn pretty! I work my way around the problems with that screen. It's the text that needs an option or two.
