And a tried-and-tested free games program, but hey, who's counting? :P
That's why this is so weird - that banner looks like it's translated from some other language into English. "Input one?" Input one what? So many dirty jokes just popped up.
It's almost international in its Broken English-ness, but the Xbone is pretty much Amurrican with all its TV for a while until it can learn to serve any other population.
With co-op? Is this a new Souls and a Monster Hunter killer all in one?
Eh. I said the same thing a couple days ago - not every game has to be uplifting and easy, they don't all have to be conventionally "fun." The reviewer had a pretty dogmatic idea of what a game should be, and that's why it was a 7.5. No tinfoil moneyhats, no Dew and Doritos, just the opinion of a guy who I didn't agree with. I don't think this kills credibility, but if you played through TLOU (and let's face it, none of us have) and don't agree with him, you ...
Eh, it's Kamiya. I don't agree with him here, but that individual streak he's got makes him who he is. And I ain't wishing Bayonetta never existed, that's one of my favorite games of this gen.
Oh man, a Ridge Racer that isn't a Not Ridge Racer Sequel the way Unbounded was would be really nice. I want to bust out R4 for just reading that comment.
Those Pac-Man games better not be of the cartoony variety the way that awful-looking new Pac-Man game that was just released is...
I loved CE, I loved CEDX even more, I want more of that! Even an iOS port of CEDX would be nice.
Yeah, it's a tough call because the world was so different back then. Online was something rather new - if you wanted to know about the latest thing, you needed to tune into the TV media blitz or go to a store and talk to someone about it.
On the other side of this, now that we're constantly connected over here, if there's a system out there with great games that's a little obscure, the games enthusiasts out there will know about it for sure before long. We...
@NioRide
"Or fable 4.5/10"
I know, right? "Fable: The Journey" getting a 4.5? That's quite generous. I'm glad history stamped out that middling score by completely forgetting about that dumb Kinect game...
I'm actually on the side of "This probably is just someone's opinion on the worth of this game" on this one. The stuff he says in his review is consistent with the other reviews out there - it...
Because he's incorrect. Mario Kart 7 did it.
Great news! At least one company out there still values the fluidity you get in a 60fps game. They did the same thing to Mario Kart 7 - 60fps, in 3D, still looked great. Super Mario 3D Land was 30, but it was fine at that clip because of how the mechanics worked - at its slowest, it was a puzzle, and at its quickest, it was a bit like a game of Trials. This, however, needs to run at 60, as fast as the old SNES game ran.
And don't even get me started on DKC Returns 3D; tha...
What have these new consoles been so far but a prettier vehicle for the same freaking games? Until I see otherwise at E3, both of these current-gen consoles are Squeenix's dark days - spending too much on visual fidelity at the expense of refining or drastically changing how a game is played, believing a stereotyped target demographic (Squenix: otaku, MS: bros) constitutes the entirety of their fanbases and delivering only one visual aesthetic to please them like so many venerated "t...
“If the popularity of the Wii U does not increase until the end of the year, third-party publisher [sic] will not make the game on the console.”
Then screw em'. Seriously, if you're not in it to make a game that's so good, so well-crafted, that it makes someone want to buy a console - if all you're interested in is how many fans of your current overdone, samey, bro-pandering, brown and explosion-colored shooter already own a particular console, so they can con...
No, no, no, it's a Protogonist. A mixture of a proton and a... gonist. Protoman, maybe.
They did that in Mario Kart 7. Blue Shells are much less devastating, knock you slightly in back of the coins you drop (so it's one of the only weapons that allows you to get most of your speed back quickly), and require less recovery time. Not that many are given out, either.
Mario Kart 7 (running at a solid 60fps btw) is seriously amazing. Don't let the "It's just more Mario Kart" detractors fool you on that one - if they just brought that to the WiiU,...
^8-4 bump!
Seriously, while I'm going to watch everything and I really want Sony to knock it out of the park, I'm most interested in what they're planning for 3ds. I've got that system, it won't require an always-on Kinect or punish me for buying a used game, and the tech behind it is simple enough that devs can spend time and money on game design, and not on making things look infinitely more realistic. Best game this year has been Fire Emblem: Awakening....
Yes, and at the same time, capitalism is a competition. It's a marketing blitz, but what's an all-sides marketing blitz clamoring for fans if not a competition? Eh. I just want to play some new games.
"The console and Kinect sensor are liquid black so they melt into the background when being used, allowing the content on your TV to dominate the living room."
That sounds like the design principles behind an 80's VCR.
Granted, I think the thing looks like a 90's Oreck Air Purifier.
If you're dissing Fire Emblem: Awakening for being a sequel, your argument is invalid, and you should just go play it.
New IP doesn't mean a new game. How many different IPs out there spawned the same old crap with a different coat of paint? I'd rather a new Mario from their Tokyo studio than a samey shooter with a new story on one of the big consoles any day. A new Advance Wars over a totally original Kinect game. "Amy" was a new IP, too, you know.
You bite the 4, the 4 bites back!
