Why not have online co-op and let the player select whether they want to play as chris, leon, claire, or jill?? I think this would attract more female gamers to the series and make the online co-op very very interesting...

I personally liked the co-op more then solo survival.. Thats just my preference though

Ico and shadow have nothing to do with each other as far as story or characters. They were both made by the same developer and were beloved classics from the ps2..

Yes the 3ds has the better catalog currently but it also had a year's head start... There was a huge gap in quality titles for the 3ds this year until nintendo started releasing it's big names for the holiday season... Sony has a tremendous launch lineup and it doesnt deserve to be blasted because it's launch lineup is lacking compared to a year's worth on the 3ds...
People look to resolution as the end all be all of gaming performance standards but they dont realize that sacrificing a few lines of resolution for the sake of framerate is the better trade off.. I'd rather have a smooth running game over a full resolution game any day..

Seems unnecessary.. When at home you could plug into wall, ps3, laptop, desktop, or get the sony vita dock like me.. If you are always on the go keep a charger handy in your car or plug it into ur cd player if it has a usb port... Heck I plan on using my vita as a gps while in my car so I'm making a custom setup/dock for simple plug n play operation.. On a bus? Whens the last time you were on a public transit bus for more then an hour? Same with a train... Going cross country bring a lap ...
I made the mistake of paying full price for a gt racing game on my iphone and quickly realized the gravity of my decision.. You accelerate and brake by pressing "virtual buttons on the screen and steer by tilting the phone... So trying to see the screen while your thumbs block half the screen and tilting is soooooooooo frustrating.. Then I tried playing dead space 2 on my friends ipad and the controls were convoluted and didn't flow well.. So as far as dedicated gaming is concerened ...
@above the psp had a umd drive to run which consumes ALOT of power.. The ds was a low res, low power handheld with cart driven games.. Its common sense why the ds had long battery life.. But the vita has a cart system as well but it also has a 5" OLED screen.. so the loss of a umd drive is compensated by a larger bright touch screen.. THe 3ds has a shorter battery life compared to the ds because of the 3d effects and it has slightly higher specs then the ds...
Whats funny to me is the fact that sony has ALWAYS withheld console numbers until they issue their official reports, usually at the end of the fiscal year which is february. Yet everyone on here is throwing out all kinds of conspiracy theories.. All I know is that sony outsold the 360 for a majority of the year and now all of a sudden microsoft has a big holiday season and they own the world again.. SO sick of this back and forth nonsense...

You're right mass appeal could do wonders for the vita but unfortunately a dedicated gaming console doesn't have mass appeal outside of japan.
