I would agree that their mass popularity seems to have dwindled in this post console shooter era.. But I pose that they are just as popular as ever, but that the industry has attracted so many new consumers that other genres are just selling more...

I love the fact that the nerd turned baseball turned game developer is honest, confident, yet humble is a combination that not too many people posess and the fact that he wants to be filthy rich, not for personal gain, but to imapct the world through als research touches a part of me that says "Give this guy money".. So I will proudly buy this game whether I like it or no...

I don't know if this was a unique instance or if anyone else had experienced this, but I DL'ed a game from the store last night and I kid you not from start to finish it took maybe 90secs ... I don't know if it had anything to do with the size and compression of the game or if the new update significantly increased download and install times? Anyone else experience this??
@Dlacy13g Probably because the psp was a huge hit in japan and they are trying to entice psp owners into buying a vita.. Its called marketing. Sony obviously doesn't think that there's enough of a demand for it here to make the effort worth while.. For me the only games I care about playing on my vita are the god of war games and Peace walker but I'll just buy the Metal Gear Trilogy and I already have a digital copy of chains of Olympus.. Im not realy all that worried about it no...

I wish people would stop trying to micromangage sony.. Sony hasnt surivived 15 years in this super competitive market by making stupid decisions.. Look sony already stated that in the begining they are focusing on their core audience and then later on when they have a fanbase and can lower costs will begin to go after the casual mass market audience... Its not that hard of a concept to understand.. They have no need of over the top advertising right now...

It makes me laugh because I placed my pre-order at the begining of january and I just put a little bit down every week and now its nearly paid off with two games.. the People griping about price are the very people who probably had no intentions of buying it to begin with...
You're forgeting about tax time bud.. I think sony picked the timing perfectly.. The japanese get their end of year bonuses in december and in america the holiday season is already loaded and launching the vita in the holiday season would force alot of shoppers to choose between the vita and a ps3, or 3ds, or 360... Launching in february lets the ps3 shine for the holiday shopping season and is positioned to take advantage of the tax season.. Sony is playing this one smart if you ask me.....

I remember when I entered shadow moses in MGS4 and had a flood of some of my fondest gaming memories.. It was a special feeling that not very many games help me achieve.. When the game ended I was sadened and overyjoyed at the same time.. Sadened by the fact that it was over, I didnt want that game to end. But I was happy because my biggest fear involving snake didnt happen... I'm sure you know what I mean, I dont want to spoil it for those who haven't played it...
I was sitting here weighing the pro's and cons.. On one hand those triggers are nice and the grips will probably help with some intense gaming but the other hand its bulky and you cant put a case on it.. I wonder how much protection this affords the vita?

I did cry over 4.. Despite how much of a beast big boss is and the ending of 3 was one of the best of all time I will alwasy be a snake fanatic.. Metal gear solid was the first time I ever played a game that left me in awe.. So MGS4 is my pick, heck I'm buying a 1911 operator (they're real) handgun bc of 4 lol...
I know about the 10 second thing but I set the auto controller sleep function that after a pre set amount of time sitting idle the controller will turn off automatically.. The best part is after I did this my DS3 battery life increased by days.. I whent from having to charge my controller every other day to maybe once a week... My only qualm about this is if I get side tracked for a few minutes and go to get back on my controller is off but this is a very minor complaint seeing as the payoff ...
