The PSP was able to stream videos over the net from your PS3 in your home, albeit requiring a base unit. Surely the PS Vita didn't lose this functionality. Did it?
I've always wanted to see a chess tournament set up within Home. Buy a £1 or $1 entry ticket, then get your start time for your match messaged to you.
An overall prize for the tournament winner, with Sony taking a slice of it for a little profit too
Fully agree, the best in the series, and also some good DLC that proved a challenge. Apocalypse just tried to introduce too many gimmicky features and seemed to lose focus from what made pacific rift my favourite racing game this gen
I'm still looking forward to playing it all again in 3D once I have the money for a decent TV upgrade
Its also hilarious that one of the reasons cited was cross game chatting. You would have thought that MS would have the edge on that front.

That would maybe put me off buying a PS Vita, but its not the lack of optical drives, or loading speeds from a memory card that will influence my decision.

A lot of good points joeorc, but way too many generalisations.
Just because the majority of software sales are in Japan, why punish the genuine consumers in NA or Europe. Until consumers start to get incentivised to buy Digital copies of games rather than the cheaper UMD alternatives for the PSP, then Sony have perpetuated the problem also.
Why can't i have the option of sending my genuine PSP UMD's to Sony and they can e-mail me a code to downl...

Its made worse that Sony done the exact same thing last generation (expensive proprietry memory cards). I think i spent more on Memory cards for my PSP than i did on the PSP.
I have a 32GB Pro Duo now that cost me £65 which is now redundant.It was a real kick in the teeth that they decided to go with new proprietry cards.
All that work and they couldnt even add some trophies.
I've been burned before for being a day 1 buyer for the PSP, and was going to hold off getting one in the initial rush, but Sony have made my mind up for me by not selling the larger memory cards in the UK.
I'm assuming I'll have no issues importing a larger memory card and using that in a UK model

I've yet to experience the witcher games. Is each a follow on from the last part, and if so, will PS3 players have the chance of catching up with the story from the first game

They are not well priced for getting younger people to get into computer games as a hobby, which is why so many of them then rely on parents forking out.
When i first got into computers and gaming, a full price title was £10 and you could get budget games for £1.99 & £2.99, and were therefore more affordable on a pocket money budget. So let me get this right. The GAMES aren't exclusive to X-Box, but the fact that they have been re packaged onto an overpriced disc format and under an illusion of exclusivity is.

Maybe the fact that it was overshadowed by the first LBP is the reason i wouldnt have had it so high on my list. Me and my gf were disapointed with the 2nd's poor story line. Proof that sometimes more features and more characters does not make a better game.
Some of the UGC was truly terrific though
Can't really argue with this choice for game of the year, great story line, fantasic game engine, more gadgets to use and the best fighting mechanics of any game out there.
The only minus points being the combat rooms being slighly easier than AA and the Robin and Nightwing characters being paid DLC (It would have been easier to swallow with some storyline missions like the Catwoman DLC)
Definately my favourite of the year, just edging out Portal 2
