Yeah the definitive edition released on consoles this year. I would have assumed that was the reason myself but they included Fortnite and Hollow Knight on the list
Seriously though... No Divinity Original Sin 2?!
Sea of Thieves was probably 2018s biggest stinker for me.
The list in general has some good and often over looked titles in it though
It doesn't matter how cheap the service is the quality of the service is abysmal.
They also went through the entire sales period from black Friday to new year sales without any of the so called exclusive special prices on digital titles we were to get
Twinfinite is an atrocious website. All their content consists of is single page per item lists of top whatever.
You can't count PUBGs timed exclusivity and the port of Hellblade, Nier etc as a victory really. It's one or the other.
Has Black Desert come out?!
To be fair Nintendo have shown it can be done. They came out fighting with the switch and it's going well.
I don't think Microsoft stand a snowball's chance in hell of ever making that kind of a comeback but stranger things have happened.
God of War was my game of the year and it had my vote. I was torn between it and Spiderman for so long.
The last two weeks however I've been glued to Divinity Original Sin 2 and it's all I can think about gaming wise. It has completely pulled me away from Red Dead. Only because I haven't spent enough time with it am I going to stick with God of War but a bit longer at it and I could have said Divinity 2
They caved under pressure when it came to fortnite. That's only going to amplify from now on. If Microsoft have thought us anything about your attitude going in to a new gen it's to not be too Arrogant
As a Sony Gamer I can honestly I would like crossplay. I love unique and niche online games and they'd benefit hugely from having a larger player base.
Sony do really need to step it up in this regard. It's clearly the next step in the medium and they'll suffer the wrath of the public if they don't play this right
How is this not bigger news?!
Queue the SpiderCop demands
I'm going with a game announcement myself and day the Resident Evil 2 remake. I always wanted it and didn't even expect the level they went to
The scandal around Telltale Games was quite bad. With hints of insiders well aware of the closure coming and using that info for insider trading, 90% of the staff dropped without their compensation and pay. Even their working conditions were known to be appalling. It was probably the worst thing to come from gaming this year.
Also Stranded Deep was due to release roughly a day after the announcement and that got dropped. I was really looking forward to it too
A lot more people than I expected have said the same too. I didn't expect that
They need something to keep until later to create a goodwill support image when they release it in updates after launch
Interestingly I'm supposedly still within the top 11% for time spent online and gamerscore. Either MS is lying to me or the community is in greater dire straits than we believe 😂
I find him unbearable. I'll give him credit for the adaptive controller but that's it!
Xbox did an interesting thing yesterday when they sent everyone an email with their year in statistics.
My playtime on the Xbox for 2018 was 38hours.
So yeah Ol' Philly did shit all to get me excited for Xbox all year round.
I genuinely can't wait for Sekiro. From Soft created a genre and changed the market. They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery and there's plenty more studios Flattering From Soft! Good Call
I do the same. I also use it nearly as a preview for other systems. I always wondered if Ark would be my thing. Now I can try it and if I like it I may pick it up on the switch.
