Agreed Dac2u.
You also have to look at the cost at launch. The 580 costs a lot less than the 5970 did at it's initial release. Making it more readily accessible to more buyers. Plus you can have more than two running in one machine, it has an advantage.
Although for me, Eyefinity is hard to give up.
Never had a problem playing SC or SC:BW under Win7. Maybe I'm just lucky?
Before you go downloading 3rd party "patches" check with Blizz, or better yet try the game out for yourself.
6970 or 6990 has my eye atm. I plan to get a couple for a new build coming up.
So, yeah... effing release them already, AMD... doooo eeeeet nao!
But seriously, if anyone is surprised about these names, 6950 and 6970 then they probably haven't paid attention to ATI the past few years.
It would definitely be nice to have a release of GT5 this month. But for me, I won't be able to play much until January. Out of town for work ftl. Sure, I can always play on the weekends or a few days around the holidays...
But lets be honest, I'm going to want to lock myself inside and not see the light of day for a week when this thing hits. Only being able to play a day at a time every week or so is going to make me a sad panda.
Actually peeps, regardless of genre differences a release of any game can affect the outcome of a different game if released at the same time(or near it). It comes down to how much money people have to spend. People with lower budgets won't be able to afford 2 games at once, so one game is going to end up not being bought. When a company delays a release(if) it's not that they're afraid.. they just want to make sure people have the cash to pay for their product. So having a releas...
I never played the other Deus Ex. But this one definitely has my attention. Look forward to seeing and hearing more about it in the coming weeks/months before release.
Eh, I'll get excited when my copy arrives at my door. I would like it sooner than later, though.
Being in every home is one thing. Using the 3D feature is a different story. But I guess that doesn't really matter, as long as the TV is 3D.
And no, I know several people who still don't have an HD TV. So there isn't an HD TV in every home.
I got an email from Amazon the other day, that said Dec 31st of this year.
The quests are simple with a moderate amount of reading to learn some of the lore and what not. Takes about 15-20 min for each faction.
Cho'gal looks awesome. Eyeballs for nipples ftw. Of course, he has eyeballs in other locations on his body, but the thought of poking out an eye with a titty twister makes me laugh..
Actually Toaster, the amount of memory can be pretty important. Depending on what you do, you may favor amounts of memory over clock speeds. From a gaming standpoint, you actually want both clocks and amounts. Especially if you run multiple demanding applications as well as lots of stuff in the background. If I ran 2gb of memory, my system would be slow as hell. I have 8... although I would probably be okay with 4. But then again, having all of your DIMMs full looks so much prettier than just...
There are other boards out there that support larger amounts of memory, as well as faster memory. Boards that support USB 3.0 out of the box. Boards that also don't have issues with having all DIMM slots full. Not to mention other boards that are not only better than the X58 4-Way mobo from EVGA at the above examples, but also come with built in wireless/blue tooth. And that's just listing a few examples.
The board is good, but most other high end motherboards not onl...
They should have just posted the top chip sets. That way all of the big manufacturers could be represented in some way. The list just shows MSI, Gigabyte and Asus, which are fantastic companies and have some of the best hardware. However, there are other companies out there who use the same chip set that aren't on the list. Their version of these boards are just as good, if not better(sometimes)
Good list though. I'll be starting a new build soon with the Crosshair IV...
So, we're letting crap like this into N4G now?
"Squenix say something about the NA release already. "
Second
Welcome to the anonymous internet. Just for making a post about how many disagrees you have, you'll get even more.
Enjoy N4G
Yeah, there are several companies offering 1gb connections. It's not cheap and relatively new.
Don't expect something like this to hit the US anytime soon though(if you live here). With a national average of around 19mb/s and the number of rural populations..... we're going to be 10 years or more before we see mainstream speeds like that of Europe and Asia. Sure, some business, schools and universities have really fast speeds. But it's too limited and usually ...
Yeah, I think auto save is too much of a crutch. The feature should save less often. 5-10 minutes between saves seems to take some difficulty out of a lot of games.
Agreed to some extent. The problem is with 3dMark Vantage it's scoring is designed for Intel/nVidia setups. Basing your reviews on 3dMark is like asking a KKK member to be the judge in a beauty contest, deciding between a black woman and a white woman. Predictable outcome? I get higher CPU/PhysX scores with my Intel processor and my old GTX260(or GT240) than I do with the same processor and Crossfired 5870s. And since you have to run those tests to be given a 3dMark score...
