This article sounds like cope.
Not that Sony are in a bad position, but to say it was “fantastic” after over 18 months to get a bunch of multi-plats, some cg trailers and the only real showstoppers being Spider-Man & MGS confirmation is just a bit of a reach.
If you enjoyed it, more power to you but the viewpoint that the showcase was disappointing seems to be a consensus echoed far and wide, and rightly so.
It really needed another...
I’d prefer to buy this physically though I wonder how much it will impact overall sales.
No doubt some scummy company like LimitedRun will try and get a deal like they did with Hitman 3 so the physical copies end up going for 3-5x as much as they should due to scalpers.
“Also PS5 Pro next year is confirmed now since the rumor was 8 inch handheld this year and pro version of PS5 in 2024”
That doesn’t mean that it’s confirmed…
Not until you’ve heard it straight from the horse’s mouth.
Hmmm idk, aside from the odd user or two, I’ve seen pretty much everyone in the Sony camp express their disappointment or give the Sony Showcase a lukewarm reception tonight.
To be fair, I did notice during the PS Showcase that afterwards they only showed “PS5” or “PS4 PS5 PC” at the bottom so I did actually have to do a quick Google search to see what titles were coming to other platforms.
I’m not sure if Microsoft show other platforms their games are coming to following the trailer but it did seem a bit strange.
Would be great for me.
I have my own games room upstairs but being able to relax in the living room with my partner whilst we do our own thing from time to time would be great.
Not even sure what price point to expect with Project Q BUT seeing as it’s using wifi to stream games, it shouldn’t need beefy internals and I’d be hoping for a sub £249.99 price point which I’d absolutely bite at. Almost spent £99 on the Razer remote last week to work with remote play but glad I held off.
@Caper
Why are you bringing up Xbox on a discussion relating to a PS exclusive?
@dark
You need to stop, mate.
You’re in full blown meltdown mode rn and it seems the only person you’re trying to convince is yourself.
@Everton,
Absolutely mate, glad you have plenty you’re looking forward to.
Definitely one of the weaker Sony showcases.
Few standouts Phantom Blade, MGS & Helldivers. The peripherals at the end were interesting too, but aside from that it was a ton of meh stuff imo.
Out of curiosity, did anyone manage to enter the 12-digit code displayed at the start on PSN?
Not sure if it was region locked to US or something but came up as invalid despite it literally looking exactly like a code they’d sneak in for some promotional avatars or something.
What does Redfall have to do with a Sony showcase?
Well aside from Phantom Blade, MGS & Helldivers, that was a little disappointing for me though I’m looking forward to seeing more about Project Q in the near future.
You spoke too soon 😂
MGS announced right after you commented.
Helldivers looks decent too
Waiting on the internet breaking following that MGS announcement. 😂
Didn’t enjoy the first one but that bike stuff looks slick af.
Looks interesting but these co-op horror games are a dime a dozen on PC and typically drop playercount and subsequently support rather quickly.
Phasmaphobia has been one of the few “successful” games in this genre as it is very oversaturated.
Actually enjoying this one more than I thought I would. Picked it up on sale for £30 and happy to pay that for what I got. 🤷♂️
Glad to see!
Whilst not for me, the more people who get their hands on VR, the more likely it’ll be to get further investment and development.
Sooo glad I didn’t order this, went down to £30 on Amazon and I was tempted BUT the release day reviews and lack of gameplay were ringing alarm bells.
I expected 5/10 but 2? RIP.
Shame for the devs, hope they are able to take pride in their work and learn from their mis-steps.
