Oh Ubisoft. 😂
Even the term ‘development hell’ is an understatement for this mess.

I would’ve loved to get a PSVR just for Rush of Blood on my PS4 at the time but couldn’t justify the price for one game that appealed to me, as well as the wiring situation but after having owned the Rift for a period and the Quest 1&2, I decided VR isn’t for me.

Great to see some solid innovation from Sony here with the minimal cable setup and those controllers are game changers, they were a massive leap going from the Rift to the Quest.

It’s a ste...

If only that were true.

You’re on N4G - this site is full of man child fanboys wearing tinfoil hats and claiming any article they disagree with has been paid for.

Sarcastic comments and armchair developers everywhere.

RE5 was a great game imo.
RE6…not so much.

My mate and I bought it at launch on PS3 to coop and gave up, we tried and tried again a few times on PS4 and finally, after ten years we finished it last year on PS5. That game is insufferable.

Bit early for them to be marketing the game with this kind of promotional collaboration imo. Better served if rolled out to a bigger market closer to the release. Six months before? No thanks.

No basically about it, The Callisto Protocol HAS one boss.

That’s it, you have a brief introduction with him before it’s cut off during a cutscene and then you have the fight.

You could argue that the “two-heads” are bosses but after the first encounter, I think you fight them twice more and they’re just regular enemies.

Decent game but honestly severely lacking in the ‘horror’ department.

Throughout my two playthroughs, there were no scares aside from the scripted and predictable jumpscare in the smoke filled room.

The game is more of a sci-fi shooting gallery. Every room is just you Vs a handful of enemies, rinse & repeat.

I enjoyed it for what it was but it definitely could’ve been so much more.

Great game imo.

The bad reviews definitely weren’t due to “wokeness” but rather the bugs at launch followed by bandwagoning. Reviewers had their mind made up going into the game & considering the length, I’d bet at least half of them didn’t finish it.

8/10 for me personally, would be even higher if it didn’t drag out so much around the middle of the story.

In other news: water is wet.

When is crunch ever worth it?
Bad publicity and mistakes due to rushed development.

Agreed.

I feel EA is trying to buy some goodwill by announcing support beyond season 4; however, the seasons have been lackluster at best.

They know if they didn’t support the game beyond S4 then it would hamper sales for the next title in the franchise, but sadly I think that ship has long since sailed.

BF1
BFV
BF2042 all effectively abandoned.

BF1 was made to be a great game by the time they stoppe...

Mate, developers are paid a set and agreed amount by the publisher as outlined in the contract.

Some contracts may have performance bonuses based on review scores. The only cog in the machine benefitting from this are the publishers.

Agreed, utterly pointless article filled with drivel explaining a scripted event that has to happen in order to progress through the area.

It’s actually pretty enjoyable.

I’ve never played a 3D Sonic game and just wanted something different to relax with and enjoy, this definitely fills the hole between my other pick ups with the heavy story of GoW: Ragnarok and the fast paced MW2.

The 2/10 review is a bit of a joke.
The music is great and the pop-in isn’t nearly as bad as it’s being made out to be. Switch? Sure. PS5? Hardly. Not that I’ve noticed yet anyway.

As much as it pains me to say it, I don’t think many, if any, would boycott their games if they’re a franchise that the individual enjoys.

People always say they’ll boycott every year with the likes of COD, for example, but FOMO wins in the end.

Good for Mick.

Honestly disgusting hearing how many roadblocks Marty put in place for seemingly no reason other than to be a complete and utter tool.

Even worse was id Software & subsequently Bethesda backing him in the end.

Hope this blows up and they get the backlash they deserve. Mick is an excellent composer and deserves better.

They don’t have to…this is Google’s fault, not Ubisoft.

Similarly would you expect every game publisher to allow you to transfer licenses to PC if say for example Sony was purely cloud based and shut down removing access to all purchases?

Not on the publisher, it’s on the platform holder.
Which, to be fair, Google are allegedly refunding purchases too.

1208d ago 0 agree6 disagreeView comment

Exactly.

Whilst Ubisoft’s quality of games is at times questionable. This is as pro-consumer as any publisher could be considering Google’s mess.

I wouldn’t say the game is a masterpiece.

Then again, it’s probably just not for me, but I do appreciate that Hello Games have stuck by it and turned it into the product they initially advertised.

I do have a feeling they had to though, after the lies that Sean Murray told in interviews about MP features.

Suggestion:

>Settings
>Crossplay
>Off

Or actually play the game and come to your own judgement. Been playing since yesterday morning and maintaining a positive KD & WL ratio against PC players.
